I cannot understand why people need coffee all the time...I never drink that crap and have more energy than most.
Haha yes, I make it a point to not drink coffee, unless only for enjoyment. But I only like cold coffee.
Do you own a sieve?
When I go camping I boil water, then add the coffee grounds to the water.. let it steep, then pour it all through a small sieve into a cup. It catches the grounds just fine..
..it's a makeshift/temporary plan but it will work in a pinch until you can get a new machine or fix the old one

If you need you're caffeine fix, just drink an energy drink.

Because it kickstarts the day and tastes awesome? I have a cup of coffee in my hands now, and I dare someone to shoot it out of my hands.
Btw, I was addicted to caffeine once. I drank like over liter of coffee per day. On one day I didn't drink it and got sick. Had to cut back.

I've been there, and quit caffeine cold turkey for 3 months, you woulden't belive the headaches i got the first week or so..
Thease days i only drink 2 cups of coffee a day, i love the taste, and it is a good way to start your day, so i decided i wanted coffee back in my life, but in much more reasonable amounts than before
sad thing is, i only got full beans and no coffee mill at home atm, so no makeshift coffee possible too

I seem to remember that the global coffee crop was badly affected by frost in the early 80's and people tried to cut back on their consumption.
The murder rate in NY went up at exactly the same time IIRC.
I also remember hearing that the most expensive coffee in the world comes from Civet poo.

anyways, i partly fixed the machine after 8 hours of working on it
but i think i somehow got a little bit of dirt into the water measurer, as it now only fills my cup half way and then screams for more water
