Glad to see someday (hopefully soon ) this piece of "history" will receive the TLC it deserves! I have been to the Proving Grounds on several occasions in the past (pre 9/11) and it was always sad to see their amazing collection of rare vehicles rusting away in the field outside the museum and along the roads! Hopefully the Elephant will be restored and will remain there, unlike the King that had been there for so long that ended up at the Patton Museum after it's restoration. For enthusiasts/historians this is an amazing place. The last time I was there I was waiting outside the guard post getting checked in when an M1A1 Abrahams came rolling down the street, the road shook under your feet as it rolled by, so cool!
