"New review up"
I have to say i found this weeks review frankly a bit immature and the bit at the end was embrassing not needed at all, cheap laughs:( jeez christ i least he gave the other games a chance and at least highlighted its good points.
I thought he was back to form with the crysis review hilarious but very fair and with mature well thought out jokes but this one hmm not so clever.

What, did all you guys like the witcher or something? I haven't played it myself, but the review seems like a pretty standard yahtzee review to me, apart from that part at the end.

Bohoo, that review was totally uncalled for. :( Well, no Yahtzee love for The Witcher then.

Your forgetting Yahtzee has love for no one, and i doubt he favours any particular type of games, platform or gamer.

To be honest, in the past, us PC crowd have had it lightly from his wrath.

I still think this was one of his weakest and no i havent played the witcher but you have to admit he gave halo 3 a more favourable one than the witcher and he over did the sex jokes imo, but in the end who cares its the internet every man and his dog has an opinion.

it was funny, because its true, but, what he saw as flaws are actually the coolness of the game

reminds me of XPlay's RO review "the game is too realistic" "you dont have crosshair you HAVE to aim with the Ironsights OMG ****!

and yes, I'm part of the PC gaming master race and I'm proud of it

The Witcher is a good game but Yahtzee's criticisms were warranted.

In the beginning of the game you do lose sight of your ultimate goal and yes the combat can at first appear overly simple. That is until a little later in the game when you start routinely facing multiple enemies etc.

Well yeah, but Yahtzee has made no secret of his hatred of RPG's, so what could one really expect?

He seemed to like Mass Effect though. It's just strange that there wasn't a single positive thing he'd say about The Witcher. :p And the Painkiller thing in the end was really a new low, not funny in my opinion.

Err? did we watch the same Mass Effect review? because i certainly did not get the feeling that he liked it..

But really, i think he's just tired of reviewing games other people wants him to review, and not the games he wants to do, you can tell he's not exactly enthusiastic about many of them.

Remember that he actually stated that The Witcher was his "first impressions" since he admitted he only played a small part of the entire game.

Personally I found it fun as always and I do think his critizism is warranted too. He does point out flaws in most (if not all) games he reviews.

As an example all the points he made about The Legend of Zelda Phantom hourglass where valid even if I peronally loved the game anyway.

The thing is that people (not pointing at anyone in this forum but I've seen comments in other forums) need to take off their fanboy glasses and realize that a game, even if you love it, in most cases have flaws or elements that could be done better or better left out compleatly.

Also in other cases he clearly statse that some things he dislike is his personal opinion (an example is that SMG would have been the same or better with a GC controller, a opinion I disagree with).

they give him a very deep game, and gave him less than a week to complete it, you cannot like "The Witcher" if you plan to play it that way, thats probably the reason why he stated that he lost sight of the main storyline, he wanted to complete it fast, and thats just not possible
