Make that about only two persons who love Basovka! I also love Baksan Valley, both good maps.I'm about the only person who loves Basovka
I prefer most epic maps like Leningrad or Berezina , good feeling of immersion and usually more teamwork needed

My current favorite is Elnya.
I was playing it last night on TWB and I realized why I thought it looked so kewl and familiar... it's the Elnya map series from Close Combat 3, recreated in first person for RO.

i need to rectifie this before he becomes a martyr
EH got banned for raking up the highest number of warnings and temp bans anyone has ever recieved in RO history. for constantly being insultive and trying to sabotage DH in any possible manner on the forums and on the servers.
he made great map with kriegstadt, so he is a great loss for the RO mapping community. but if someone is to blame for him getting himself banned then its not DH! subject closed!
My new favorite map is grain silo. After not playing RO for 2-3 months it's a nice coming back present
My favourite stock maps are and have always been Odessa and Konigsplatz. Other Fav custom maps I forgot about are Leningrad, FestungKurland, Blackday July (even though I used to hate it). Best mod maps are nalchick, tobruk and sure Ardon (And possibly Guppys other CC map if he ever finishes it).

The map I regularly play is Stalingradkessel becuase I have learned where most of the hiding places are, BUT the game that gave me sweaty palms and had me on the edge of my chair was Oddessa_Tanks. It really sucked me into the fear and drama of the eastern front. My problem is that I can't find it on the boards again.

LOL...no, not being paid by TWB...I frequent thier three servers because I like platoon sized teams...i.e. 25 per side.
The issue I was trying to address was Moe's comment a while back that he had some favorite maps that he wished he could play and that the only servers that seemed full were the TWB servers.
Since they are fixed map rotation servers, you could predict when your favorite map would rotate through with stats. Since I too have my fav's, like Leningrad, all that is needed is to see what map is playing and then show how long before Leningrad rotates through...simple check to the wall clock...and you'd know roughly when to fire the game back up and what server to join.
The challenge of course is keeping up with TWB's server map rotation changes, the addition and subtraction of their 'maps of the month', and capturing a large enough sample size to make the statistics more accurate.
I'll keep at it and post updated versions...

Not the only one. There are others out here that share your love. I remember Ponyri, that was fun too.
StarKess is quite possibly my favourite map in any shooter i've ever played and i've played a lot.
Can't really knock any stock but unlike many enjoyed Baraska and thought Rako was the best CA.
Bonderevo had my fav kinda loadout for enjoyable tank combat.
From 2.0 and/or 3.0 I liked (and miss) that village map that i think was called jucha?
Lazur for me is the most polished custom map and by far the closest to stock quality. The second work over it got was really worth it.
Tcherkassy a fav of the 1st map comp.
I loved orel in it's origional form
Wateveroko has fond memories - great fun and a Wild bunch classic from the pre-50 days - my fav time in RO. Also you gotta love a map you can rack up over 300 points on yet still lose.
Of 'recent' maps Fest kurland was pretty impressive.

As for DH....."Dog Green"....looking at that map from the allied and axis sides, you really get a feel for the mod and for the historical reality that happened on June 6th,1944.
MN....."Tobruk"....the map is fantastic in so many ways, a great rifle and mg map.
