I put this here as a chance for people to maybe discover those rare hidden gems. Or maps that are great on a specific difficulty.

It all depends on how you play that one. Typically each man takes an opening and the left overs stick with one person. I think it works best when they float. Just because it seems you always get one person who gets overwhelmed and when that happens its chaos.
An ideal team would be 4 sharpshooters with crossbows at each entrance, then have 2 demos standing on the middle edge and over watching all the doors.

Other than that I haven't really played that many custom ones. I did enjoy the arcade one for a while but to be honest it gets dull in the long run. It's just too open and small for my taste.
Which reminds me, I have yet to play my map with 6 players, or on anything harder than normal. So if anyone ever have time hook me up

meh, i always try not to abuse current issues. I even proposed ideal of playing with no post-patch guns/perk
my fav is KF-PandorasBox, really good close quarters fighting.. and i like KF-FacilityV1 alot, good action. its one of my first maps but i never get tired of it. i also like KF-Fogfield, it has a nice fantasy type atmosphere with good action.
My faves: Quite a few, Carnival springs to mind. I like maps with open space that remain challenging.
My least faves: Doom2, Defense, Arcade Shopping Centre. Farming maps in other words, they're booooooooooooring, and seeing them voted for often has me reaching for the admin panel to force switch to a real map.

To be honest, I hate almost all of the Arcade maps. They're just...ick. I don't have a specific reason, I just don't like 'em at all. Something feels off about 'em.
Of all whitelisted maps, I think I prefer the stock ones most of all. But Biohazard and thelongdarkroad both are favorites too. Aquastudy is fun from time to time too.

My favourite Official maps that are actually somewhat challenging are offices, Wyre (Awesome map) and Manor.

Kf-marshes (Even though I've only played it once, it's basically KF-Swamp)
Am currently waiting for Sam's slenderforest map to be released.

I like all the offical maps.
Its hard to find any good custom maps, there are so much crap out there.. But, theres a few with great graphics and design such as Crash. Thats prolly my fav atm.
Personally I just dont like Arcade maps either, they are way too easy. I mean, in gastation you can just camp at the top of the station while in shopping central there are these HUGE hallways which give you plenty of time to aim and kill any specimen.... no challenge what so ever.

While we're talking about stock maps...I HATE Bedlam. Tons of gank spawn points, a maze-like building, and excessive darkness makes it a nightmare.
Seriously, with only 2 weapons in the game having flashlights, that map is WAAAAY too dark!

amazingly i beat it on suicidal my first time. of course everyone was a well versed lv6 char.
