FC2 looks like a very interesting FPS game when you compare it to the other games in the same genre these days, but I have a feeling that it's SP mode might lead into the category of not having much replay value as it looks very repetetive. Stalking might bring some exciting moments, but according to the gameplay videos I've seen, AI still sees you very easily even if you're hiding far away in the jungle.

I hope MP and modding community is better this time than it was in Far Cry 1.

Yepp that is my point too. The gameplay looks vey one-sided we will see if it suffers from open world sydrome where you have an huge world to explore but actually it is rather empty in terms of new and excting stuff :/

And the engine is called Dunia which is Swahili and means world as far as I know it is exclusivly developed for this game by Ubisoft.

That review is VERY untrustworthy, IMO. The first one that was ever released was PC Gamer's review, and they loved the game. I tend to agree all the time with PC gamer, so I trust the review. They found it refreshing, fun, and revolutionary at times.

It's a guaranteed buy for me... even if it doesn't meet all the expectations.

Yeah I totally agree, if there is a game to buy then it is this game. It offers good MP with addiction potential(due to ranks etc; though it's no doubt not going to be on cod4 level) and SP with 40hours of gameplay(if you do other stuff and just the main quest too), it being developed primary for PC and it trying to do new things.

I wonder if you have a answer generator since everytime a new game pops up all your answers sound the same whatever game it might be....

I heard somewhere this game will run better then Crysis. How true do you think this is?

I got on ave 25fps playing Crysis (high settings) on my current rig.

Well given that a review that was otherwise not too impressed at least conceded that it was well optimised, I'd say it is quite likely to run better.

Crysis never seemed quite interesting enough for me to buy--do you guys think that FC2 might be good enough to cross into "buy" territory when Crysis didn't?
