I don't know about the german or soviet armies whether a regular infantryman carried ANY medical supplies in person, but in US army they tended to have at least bandages and maybe a little bit of morphine. If it's the same with german and soviet armies, then there's no need to add medics in game as a class (even though I'm not against the idea), you could make it so that if your character gets hit by bullets or gets his legs ripped to pieces by a grenade or mortar shell, that character is unable to get up on his feet anymore and is rendered incapacitated. At this point the player could be given the chance to continue struggling and probably fire off a few shots before they eventually bleed out or black out, or they could jump "out" of the character and respawn, leaving the character as an NPC crying for help, and a team mate could come and bandage the guy up and save a reinforcement point for the team. It's just a suggestion, some might not like it, and it might be mighty hard to implement in RO:HOS but just my two cents, tell me what ya guys think.
And regarding the ORIGINAL topic, I've played RnL for HL2 and in it, if you get shot in legs, or straight to chest you instantly drop down and might be unable to use your weapon for a while due to trauma. A chest shot usually kills you, but if it passes anything vital you just drop down, can't move much, and either "bleed out" or gain your strenght enough to return fire. So Imho getting shot in the legs should make you drop like a fly.
