Indeed. Just because it's a FPS there's no need to pass on that. If games like CoD have facial animations why shouldn't the nextgen shooter RO2 not have them?

Noticed that as well, eyes are always wide open, lips never moving, helmets GLUED to soldiers heads. I really can't get into the minds of TWI, creating so much atmosphere, soldiers "battle talk", the amazing death cries (that are now bugged and gone and I hope TWI, who confirmed it as a bug, will return them).

I mean, put all those excellent small touches that actually make a big change, but have the characters, who look great, just have robotic, cold, never changing faces?

yes, moving mouths is a standard nowadays. at least that. I hope someone up there reads this thread and puts it on a "to-do" list after the game gets its critical cures.

Never noticed or bothered to check someones facial expression. You must be playing the game wrong. Even the hand signals on many games get ignored widely.

Yes, I wonder too. Also why chinstraps are absent, those things were made to keep the helmet on your head. Not every German and Russian is such a badass American who is willing to lose his helmet every now and then just to look cool with open chinstrap.

I had a interesting bug today where my playermodel was a bit infront of me so I was stuck within his head. My screen was blocked by two balls (backside of the eyes) and a nasty set of chompers.
Perhaps there will be some facial movement along the way?

After I died the bug went away. It was fun. Haven't had many bugs so... fun :)

While its a good idea I'm sure they have more important things to work on than adding eye candy perhaps later on.The game is too cpu bound as is adding complex facial animations would only hurt matters.

Its all about priorities atm It would be nice to see someday at least when wounded or the death animations.

Pretend everyone is stone face killers

This is a realistic mannequin simulator. Mannequin's don't move their mouths or eyes, even when in battle. If you don't like it go back to CoD.

I think there's really no need for moving mouths and facial expressions. Don't really have the time to check peoples faces in the heat of battle. Of course it would be cool and nice looking and all, but as Gunther said it would hurt performance.

What I'd really like to see is at least some basic hand-signals. Would add much to the atmosphere and help teamworking. If I remember right I saw hand signals being used in trailers and screenshots before release anyone else remember?

Would be nice. My guess is it was too much of a memory hog, causing performance to suffer.

It would be nice as an option for people with tons of memory and CPU t

I noticed some Russians say "I'm scarred". Would be awesome if their face expression fits to this.
This would be awesome.
Side Note:I wonder if the game goes through all the people joining, and says,' These men will be brave and act like hero's, and the other half will cry to the commissar every time he sees a german.
