Error: C++ Library Runtime Error
Fix1:
1. Verify your cache
steam://validate/1200 <-- Use this link

Fix2: For SDK users
1. Remove SDK from your system, including the .gfc's related to it
2. Verify cache
3. Reinstall SDK

I've attempted to use Fix1 with absolutely no luck and I don't even have SDK installed. What could be the problem?

Delete your RO system file.
Start Steam and verify your game cache, it will update.

See if it helps !

Why me?

Why me?

Please help! I have the exact same problem, with the "application requested to be terminated in an unusual way" or whatever it says (sounds like the comp is calling it a perv if you ask me). I have tried verify cache, I have tried deleting system folder and verifying cache, but the problem won't go away! Not cool! I want to get back to playing the game!

Wow! Very interesting, I edited the redorchestra.ini and replaced the D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice with the OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice in one of the chunks of code a couple headers down and it starts! Still need Direct3D to work though :-/

No need, fixed. I have a Radeon 9600 Pro, reinstalled older Cat 7.7 drivers. Works fine now. Found many instances in many games of this problem, actually. Now if I could just get the game to hear my damn mic input >=( I'd be sittin' pretty.

to make your microphone audible make sure your mic is set as the primary recording device.

Go to Start -> Control panel -> Audio and Sound -> Audio -> Then select the correct recording device.

If you go to start -> all programs -> accessoires -> entertainment -> audio recorder

If you record sounds through that audio recorder then ro will detect it If you can record sound there but cant in ro then its probably something to do with button configuration. Since ro uses the default output and imput device.
