RO 2 needs some Hell March. :p

But honestly yeah I would like to have a powerful set of music to listen to if not during the game then at the close of battles and in the menus.

One of the earlier versions of the Battlefield 1942 mod Forgotten Hope had some really nice music from a film whose name I can't remember. It really helped the feeling of the game and left you with a feeling of empowerment.

Menu music: yes.

Music in singleplayer: sure (especially if it has a story-driven campaign).

Forced musing during multiplayer: no.

Optional music during multiplayer: maybe.

I don't think there is any game that forces music... at least I haven't seen it... and I know because I always mute all games to play with AIMP

We need more drums during the campaign and less melody. I just dont like this music like in RO:OST because it doesn't put you in the right state of mind. Just give us those military drums.

drums without melody is basically a repetition of one sound. that's not really music, just mindless drumming.

i don't listen to music during gameplay at all, but i don't mind if it is played occasionally.

things like menu music i just don't see the point of. you're in the menu for 10 seconds at most. maybe a few minutes tops during first time playing when you're adjusting the settings and controls.

First Peterpans I'd like to say that the chick on the left in your partisan music vid is smokin'. Now onto the music...

Well all the music I listen to is epic and amazing by definition but some of the "most" epic ones I can think off the top of my head:

YouTube - Last of the Mohicans - Promontory

YouTube - Gladiator Soundtrack - 03 -The Battle (best combined with the first two tracks... progeny and wheat... they all flow seamlessly into each other)

YouTube - Mass Effect - Ending Song (especially epic right after you finish the game... but it's an amazing song by itself)

Four of the most epic metal songs EVER (no growling don't worry... mild heaviness, it's no brutal death metal or anything... even if you don't like metal give it a shot):

YouTube - Primordial - The Soul Must Sleep
YouTube - Primordial - The Coffin Ships
YouTube - Primordial - The Golden Spiral
YouTube - Primordial - As Rome Burns

Some epic classical:

YouTube - The New World - Vorspiel

And finally.... my most recent EPIC SONG find:

YouTube - John Murphy - Sunshine (Adagio In D Minor)

If you don't like that you mad crazy.

Prussotroll's Bridge
Heh funny that you mention Primordial...

They are a good studio band but live they are absolutely horrible. Ever want to see a room full of 2000 people go from ZOMFG after listening to Finntroll to silence and then "let's get a beer"?

Just listen to Primordial live. :troll:

Screw that, I've seen live vids. They're the best metal band on the planet. Period. (I'd say Isis and Jesu too, but they skirt the line of post-rock/industrial too much to be called metal IMO) And I hope they freaking come to the USA already (they did once but only to Wisconsin or something). Also finntroll's name alone makes me laugh, let alone their music :D

Also I don't know if you could call this "epic", but it's so damn rockin' I can't help myself:

YouTube - QOTSA - god is in the radio.wmv

modern music of today such as i.e. Metal turns people into degenerates. In kreutzer sonata written by tolstoy an observation is made how music can stir up intoxicating fits of passion that men can find no proper outlet for. This is how they are stupefied and gradually led into all sorts of corrupting experiences. Tolstoy reflected quite a lot on his world view in many of his stories and i suggest reading some of his works. But this is why i suggested military drums.

I would suggest to you the Martial Ambient genre, but it's also full of degenerates.

I am not ridiculing you. I listened to this music myself in the past. If you look at it without bias, it is very addictive to listen to, but at the same time fills your head with rubbish.

Man.............. smoke some herb and try saying that again. You seriously need to chill out and take the stick out of your you-know-what.

Lol fills my head with rubbish. That really is classic. I wish the context was better so I could make it my sig. Ever since I got a warning for having a too-big clown car gif sig I've been trying to think of a good replacement... Well you go on listening to your music which evidently doesn't turn you into one of the "rabble"... just an elitist prick and I'll go on listening to mine... I'm guessing you know f*** all about metal too. It's not a genre I listen to much anymore... only a couple bands, but you've probably just heard St. Anger and Korn or something and think that's metal. lol. If you're looking for something "technical", other than jazz and classical, metal's the most technical I can think of. At least some genres of it.

Here's a good example (don't like this band much... but I can't deny their chops):

YouTube - Behold... The Arctopus - You Will Be Reincarnated As An Imperial Space Attack Turtle

Now how exactly does listening to that make one a degenerate?

I think this if anything is more likely to turn one into a "degenerate" lol:

YouTube - krzysztof penderecki - the awakening of jacob

(though I love the piece... if you know the background for his inspiration for it... Jacob's encounter with God in the bible and his terror at being in the presence of an almighty being... it's pretty amazing)

Really though, you sound like a frakkin Nazi saying that kind of thing. As I'm sure you know, Hitler frequently railed about the "degenerates" cluttering up Germany and keeping them from becoming the "Master Race" they were supposed to be.

I look forward to shooting your head off as a Commie in ROHOS.

I said what everybody knows. You could have just said: "yes it does but it is too addictive for me and nothing would replace it". It is the same with many other things i.e. Alcohol. Tolstoy wrote "why do people need narcotic substances?" and the answer to that is they dont have a sound ideology to live by. Maybe i came off too harsh saying it turns you into a "degenerate", but i certainly did not call you degenerates. It has a negative influence no your social conditioning
