Holy **** it's still just the 27th.
I'm really hoping for release on the first week of December, because 2nd or 3rd weeks are WAAAY off still.
When Wilson said that the Patriarch would use mortar fire instead of rockets when players hid behind cover, how would that be defensibly balanced? I'm concerned with the presence, or lack of, certain visual and sound queues before and possible destructuion of or evasion during. Not to mention your sight blocked by cover and zeds the Patriarch would be spawning. I hope it doesn't become something like the hand of God smighting you from above (will this attack even happen indoors?) out of nowhere.
I can assure you that you will 100% know when his mortars are coming.
How do they work indoors though?

Not to hijack, but will you guys be adding more female characters after this? I play in a group of six that is split half men and half women, and the women are understandibly... annoyed that they all have to play the same exact character (with different hair/clothes colours!) if they want to be their own gender.
We would all appreciate that, as I feel bad for them. The guys, including me, get to pick characters that most represent us, and they get one option.

Why is that? I don't understand how the gender of your character has much to do with representing yourself. I'm a male and I have played Ana since release, because she's the one into metal, screaming "WALL OF DEATH" when going in with the Zerker. That represents me pretty well, so how can our lady friends not find something for themselves in a similar manner? Unless there really isn't a single character for them implemented yet, but in my opinion that has to be based on several factors, not just one.
