No, I don't want to see such mode. The endless survivals are simply pointless. And on PC, the cheaters always occupy the leaderboards. I don't see the point of this mode. We will die anyway, what's the point to play then?

^ so much this.

Also if the zed count and health just keeps increasing like in COD BO(2) zombies, that's just cheap and not fun at all. The zombies just become bullet sponges.

If it's in, fine, good for those who want. Either way I don't care because I don't play endless modes.

Leaderboards are lame though. 95% of them have cheaters at the top, and they never get cleaned up.

I am for an endless mode, but it doesn't necessarily need to be wave-based. It could be a constant spawning of enemies with the trader swapping positions regularly and maybe being only available for a certain amount of time (maybe twice the length to compensate for the buying while under attack).

Wave based is fine, but an alternate mode to the current one would be appreciated, diversity is nice. I guess one question is if bosses should be mixed into this mode and if yes at what intervals.

No leaderboards required, people will make videos for that on the internet to show their skills anyway. :)

I don't understand the people saying that they don't want endless mode due there being no end. Do you only play Killing Floor for that "Congrats, you didn't **** the bed!" after beating the Patriarch? Because I know I have fun either way, and I don't think it's much of a stretch to say the the end-goal of Endless Mode is to beat your previous best.

What Jake said.

The purpose of endless modes in games is for the simple fun of the endless survival, and comparing your e-peens with your friends'.

I say go for it, do it.

Funny about the e-peen stuff, the way I understand it, the reason people don't want an endless mode so far is because there is no "You're Winner!" screen at the end.

I mean what the hell, do you need that to get enjoyment out of the game? "I won... Yes, i'm a good boy! It says i'm a winner!"

IMO, the fun in KF is in the gameplay, and tackling endless hordes of increasingly powerful enemies for ****s and giggles seems like a pretty darn cool idea to kill some time with.

What happens when a team mate dies? There has to be compromises somewhere to make the mode challenging.. Team mate dies = needs to wait a long time for the whole thing to end.

Unless they put in defibs to that mode only and make them expensive.

maybe the endless wave could be like that from L4D, if you're dead, you're dead. if everyone is dead, the round ends.

Eh. It'd be nice if there was a way for the dead players to get back in somehow, preferably by the living player(s) doing something.

It'd be a shame to have to sit out for over an hour because of a major fluke.

Variety is nice. Never hurts to have different gameplay modes for the longevity of the game.

if one endless wave then i think respawn on whichever player you are spectating after a certain amount of time.
about 5-10 minutes or so, maybe the respawn time could decrease with the amount of specimens you have killed or increase with the number of times you have died.

or maybe something to do with money, such as surviving players buying a repspawn for a random player.
or combination of both such as standard respawn time 10 minutes and each 2 minutes left to repsawn is

I would not mind a endless mode, I always longed for something where I can fight a large amount of Zeds and not have to be in multiplayer.

As for player spawns and such, there could be a system where they have to wait for x amount of time, or buy back in for a price. As time goes the price lowers. Or a break every 5 or so waves where players respawn and get a breather before another set of waves arrives.

More modes is good, a suggestion if I may.

If it went down the route of no trader and one endless spawn, have weapons unlock as you survive (on a game by game basis, not persistent).
Think Haunted Hells Reach, where you can swap your early weapon a couple of times throughout the run.

Also, ammo drops to keep us moving around.

UsF had a cool idea! IF the waves were replaced with unlimited spawning zeds but the traders spawned like every few minutes around the map I don't think I would ever go back to survival because that sounds ****ing awesome.

Having to buy weapons on the fly might be too much of a pain due to some glitches I've encountered where your purchased weapons lag out of your inventory and such.
