Endgame Content & New Bodyparts

Loved this game! The scenery and lighting were SPECTACULAR! I ended up enthralled by just watching the mega shark slowly glide through the water. So I'd love to see more content for the game. Firstly, I think this game desperately needs some endgame, raid-type content. I think it would be great to see content drops come in the form of different maps (not necessarily as large as the game map) that each have a designated raid challenge. Maybe one area is a frozen tundra type ocean, and the shark goes to several different areas, killing hunters and creatures while trying to break open large pipelines. When all the pipes break, Some cracks start to form in the massive iceberg in the middle of the map. Then the shark harasses a special type of bounty hunter who drops depth charges. The shark will take the depth charge and bring them to the cracks in the iceberg. Now the cracks are big enough for the shark to sneak in and damage the bits of exposed flesh in the ice and wake the monster. Eventually a massive dinosaur-esque creature (the raid boss) will break out of the ice and a multistage fight takes off with the shark needing to damage parts of the boss armor to expose a weak spot to finally deal damage.

Second, I think the body part sets are cool, but I'd love to see the inclusion of some individual body part items. Maybe a head mod that will permanently tag a certain type of prey, like albinos, or a tail that deals more whiplash damage when you hit something mid-air, or teeth that deal bonus damage to humans but reduced damage to predators. And they could compound these with organs that have passive abilities that synergize with different body parts. Like maybe some teeth that cause bleeding and an organ that causes drunkenness to any bleeding enemies, or an organ that increases all states for a shark with no set body parts equipped. I'd really love to see Tripwire lean into the RPG elements that they have built the foundation for here. If they worked in a plethora of body parts to collect/unlock, we could experiment with different build types to find ultra powerful shark builds. And they could incorporate new unique enemies (similar to the apex animals, which were some of the best encounters in the game IMO) who will drop the body parts for us to collect.

And of course with more body parts, we would have more cosmetics to unlock! Because who doesn't love an insane looking shark? I know you do... otherwise, you wouldn't be here. So lets see some more cosmetics!!!! Personally, I would LOVE some sort of cosmic type shark cosmetic, whether it was a set or just a skin cosmetic, I just want to see something that looks straight out of a sci-fi movie. Some sort of creature that you might see wandering the endless cosmos with dark skin and different star/galaxy features moving across it. (Think the Galaxy skin in Fortnite or the Deep Nebula weapon skin in Borderlands 3).

Additionally, one improvement I would ask for in both the base game and future updates would be to repeat the Apex fights. Maybe we could be able to respawn the apex of each area, and their level would increase as we get stronger. So at the end game I could go back and fight the alpha croc to show it that I AM THE DOMINANT PREDATOR!

And finally, while I'd love to see more oceans to explore, like a frozen one or a more tropical one, I'd ask the folks over at Tripwire to consider doing some goofier locations as well. If they took the approach of making each content drop its own separate map then they could create some more ridiculous locations that will remain separate from the main game map. So maybe a map thats super cartoony, with bright vibrant colors (Think Whimsydale in Diablo 3). Or maybe a map that is done entirely in black and white with a sort of "Original Jaws Movie" theme going on, with minimal color splashes for things like blood and apex enemies, to make those things really stand out. Or maybe after making that cosmic shark skin, they could create a sunken spaceship that our shark could swim into, launching a cutscene where the ship and our shark fly to an entire "Deep space" or "Otherworldly" themed map where our shark is attacking spaceships and alien creatures and a mega space alien raid boss! I think the fact that this game knows not to take itself too seriously is a huge asset that would lend itself well to different maps like these.

All in all, I'm so happy that Tripwire managed to deliver on the promises they made while promoting this game and I would absolutely LOVE to see them support the absolute hell out of it. The sheer amount of untapped potential in this game makes me so insanely excited to see what the future holds. Thanks Tripwire for an awesome game! And for anyone reading, please make your own suggestions for the game! It seems clear that Tripwire is looking to the community to gauge our interest in DLC, so let them know what you'd like to see!!!

TL-DR

1. End game raids with puzzles and multi stage boss fights
2. More body parts with different abilities to make different builds.
3. More apex encounters. And make them repeatable.
4. New DLC maps, separate from the main map that we could travel to. These could include different types of ocean. (Arctic, tropical, 1970's black and white, Cartoon style, Alien planet Ocean)
