Empty Servers

Hey all, awesome game etc.

I was just wondering why there are so many empty servers? There seems to be only a handful with anyone playing on them. Why would people host game servers that nobody ever plays on?

0/64 0/32 0/40 On and on and on and on ...

At first I thought that it was a problem with the browser but I joined a bunch anyways just to see and they are all indeed empty. I can always find a game so it's no big deal, just wondering.

I would say that 95% of the servers on the list are devoid of a single player. What gives?

most people are waiting for BF3 or MW3, the game is still Beta despite being released so it will probably pick up player numbers once they fix up all the niggles

Locked, bad ping, bad setup, different playtimes for those on the server etc.

Do you pay monthly for a server? If so they would still be there for the first month even if they don't intend to keep it. I guess
