[Error] Empty Server Browser

When I load up the game the server browser always shows empty but when I look in "Recently Played" I can see servers, any idea for a fix?

i had it tonight too. i was in the serverbrowser, and wanted to play a spartanovka map on my favorite servers, but no 1 had it loaded, so i updated and updated and....after the i dont know, 10th update, the serverbrowser were empty...mmhh, ok ->
Steamcommunity "show servers" -> also empty, favorites and normal servers too. "no server is answering"
some minutes later the first servers came back, but i went to sleep (02:00 am CET) today at 1 pm tried again and all was fine!

But sometimes people are not online on the servers have played and its a bit of a farce...

Just a guess on my part, but it sounds to me as if your router and/or firewall is blocking the port.

Do you see any servers when you use the Steam "view => servers" tab?

I have the same issue. But it`s a long time that i only use recently played.

I have a Thomsen router / modem btw.

I seem to be suffering from the exact same issue. Serverlist isnt populated, its just empty all over. Ive tried Ranked, unranked, favorites, etc but they're all empty.

Checked filter settings too of course...

I have the same problem and the browser will take up to five minutes to populate the list. It is a little quicker with the recently played, maybe a minute or so. Before anyone says anything, Steam's game browser is exactly the same way, S L O W. Everything eventually shows up, but it takes way longer than it should.

For the most part, it has been this way since the Beta with little variation. While it doesn't affect the actual gameplay, it is highly annoying. I should add it is only this way with ROHOS, ROOST is fine and even KF's browser seems like it is going warp speed in comparison

Like no offence to TWI but this is a major reason why I have not played RO2 that much recently, maybe there are alot of people of who suffer this and just think they cant play...

99% sure this is a Valve issue to do with steam, not TWI's fault.

Interesting to note that the Steam's game browser is the same. Though I don't suffer from either problem, I've always assumed that the Steam browser worked correctly.

You know, I wonder if its possibly an ISP thing? Throttling of certain ports or what have you? (I'm just musing outloud and rather ignorantly, no need to respond..)

But still its the ONLY game that its effected by it, so even if its a problem with Value its effecting a TWI game, so its pretty much their problem as well...

intersesting. so the next time i install a toilet or faucet, i'm responsible, if the water pressure falls, to the pont that they don't work?

Hmm, it seems in my case it could have been something temporary? It's working fine today...

This also happens to me too. When i first load up RO2, i have no problem seeing servers, but if i quit out of a game then my server list is then always blank.

It stays blank for minutes afterward, enough so i've never been bothered to wait to see if any reappear. If i quit RO2 then restart, all servers are visible straight away again.

I have NO problems playing any other online game via Steam.

No it isn`t only RO2, this is also for ROost and DH the matter.
It`s really a steam problem.
