Now we're talking...this is my cup o' tea! Surprised I haven't heard many of you guys talk about this game. I've been following it pre-E3 and it looks great. A new total war game set in the 18th Century. Cannons, muskets, bayonets, line formations, oh my! Here's the latest Preview at IGN.

I love and hate Total War games. They always look great have gazillions of different troop types... but the strategy mode imo leaves a lot to be desired and never gave me any long term motivation. It's just sad.

Yep, the battle AI has been the biggest issue of their previous games, at least for MTW2. Some mods have changed campaign AI really well, but battle AI seems really hard to mod to any degree of tactical competence...

Yep I stopped playing RTW because of the battle AI. It's just... terrible. Completely incompetent. I'm not buying this till I play the demo. They have said it's been completely reworked though.

Meh, I loved Medi 2 and I'll be there day 1 for Empire. Naval Battles! WOOT, Soldiers that can take cover! Woot, Soldiers that can build their own cover, WOOT!, soldiers that can garrison inside buildings!! Double WOOT!

Indeed looks great! I always felt that the campaign map AI was worse than the battle AI! So many times an ally attacks me or some nation who will be crushed if they pick a fight and yet they do. Also the AI that comes and stands right by a settlement yet never attacks it.

They need to add a function where you can tell a faction to get out your territory or face attack!

Yep, there's definitely going to be a lot of people crazy about it. I wonder about the sys requirements, hope my PC's decent enough to run it with an enojoyable graphical standard.

I'm curious of the Polish box art - supposedly, there's regional variations with regional uniforms and standards.

I found cossacks 2 a disapointment on the whole, but still up for mp with anyone who wants.

OT: I have high hopes but suspect from previous evidence it wil be unplayably simple and dumbed down till the mods for it come.

Since theres a uber big USK logo on it we tend to get austrian or european pegi versions instead.
