This is a mutator that I put together a long while back. I never posted it, so I randomly decided to, so that you guys can put your thoughts into it, or come up with some new ideas for it, or even just make a totally new idea from this.

This is a mutator where the ZEDs will take the damage of however much health you are missing... every second! Missing 32 HP? Eat 32 points of empathy every second ZEDs!! xD

The original mutator was supposed to be how ever much HP your missing (let's sat 32 again, for example), multiplied by 10, and that's the damage the ZEDs receive every second, which if you where missing 32HP, that'd be 320 damage a second. But that proved to be WAY too easy and WAY too powerful. When I tested it that way, I ran around with 97HP and everything was dead before I could find it.

The mutator was thought up by Prodigy, who also started on the base code and thought of it all up, but stopped working on it shortly after I picked it up. Coding help was received by Benjamin, who helped apply the damage to the ZEDs. I (ricky horror) compiled the actual mutator, edited the supplied portions of coding and changed a few things around, and tested it.

Seems cool. But it looks like it would just make the game too easy since you could just stay at 20 health and run away from zeds while still dealing 80 damage per second.

Yeah, I know. That's why I'm not sitting here handing it out. xD

I was thinking about lowering the damage to about a quarter of your missing health.

yea this could be just a fun mut. just for the hell of it. or if you want to take the time, make it so that this empathy only occurs during the zed times. so id be like "slow and painful" instead of painfull all the time. :) thatd be more interesting and less easy. but another thing is does it total the damage between all players? or take the most/least amount of damaged player and apply to zeds?

I literally cannot fathom a single reason as to why this would be fun. You could win simply by walking off one ledge and then running away from the zombies for the rest of the map. Why even bother playing a zombie killing game if the game itself is just going to kill the zombies for you?

And nice job putting an invisible annotation over the entire video to try and dupe gullible people into inadvertently subscribing to you.

The mutator wasn't my idea, like I said. I've thought about changing it around to make it not so easy though, or just change how the mutator would work in game play.
Making it so it only does the damage during ZED time is actually a really nifty idea, I might look into that.

And as for multiple people, I'm not sure. I'm the only person who has the mutator and I've only played solo with it twice. But I'm sure it do the missing damage from all people combined to the ZEDs, which would make it even easier and lame.

But as I said, your "slow and painful" idea is pretty interesting. Any other ideas?

I posted it for the hell of it, and I've only played this mut twice. Once with missing health times 10, and the second time was the fixed mut that you see in the video. This mutator was made for the hell of it, not to make the game more fun, or any of that ****.

And the "invisible annotation" is noticeable, and it doesn't dupe people to subscribe. Once clicked, it takes you to a page asking to confirm. It's more or a reminder. Many people do it.

If you're going to be an ***, why post on this thread at all? I literally cannot fathom a single reason as to why except to be an ***.

I read it. Doesn't change a thing, but it does bring up the obvious question: why bother making/finishing it? It's a bad idea that elicits only bad results. There are plenty of terrible ideas in the Ideas and Suggestions forums that could easily be made into functional mutators, but you don't see many modders here jumping at the chance to realize them.

Then you better expect a poor response. If you didn't want a response at all, then reconsider posting an entire topic about it. There are no redeeming qualities to this mutator, and since by your own admission you didn't intend this mutator to be good or fun, I believe that is a more than fair assessment.

More mutators the better.

If zeds could only take damage when your health is at 100, and not via any weapons or explosives, then the goal would be to run in order to kill them.

So the more damage you had taken, the more you would hurt the Zeds (and full health=no damage).

I think this could lead to some very hectic games.

Hardcore version: D=WD*((100-H)/50)^2. Now you would have to be considerably damaged just to scratch the zeds, but at low health the damage would be very high:
90 health: 4% damage
50 health: 100% damage
10 health: 324% damage :eek:

How low can you go :p

Because I didn't know they'd be dying so quick or that easily. I thought I'd have to fight somewhat.

This is a really cool idea

how about we say that the original mutator ricky made is just a beta version of this mutator? (no offense to your work, Ricky) and we all skip into the sunset as best friends?

Unfortunately, I cannot code mutators myself, so I ask you: Will you do it? Please?

I would, but I don't have my PC with me at the moment.
I moved to NC and my PC is being shipped from where I lived in MI sometime in the future, so I'm on a MacBook Pro til then.
If I knew how to make mutators off a Mac, I would though.
