The cap depends on your major skills. The lower they start, the higher your level cap.

Apparently you can't leave stuff lying around in storage containers in Cloud Ruler Temple. I left behind a Sigil Stone, my Kvatch Curaiss, and some other stuff I wanted to keep in a chest there. I got a Hideout mod so I went back to get them, gone, all of it.

how much have I completed? uhh, I'm Grand Champion of the Arena, Arch-Mage of the Mage's Guild, and Head of the Dark Brotherhood currently.

In the main quest I'm in the "Allies for Bruma" phase, but I'm not really working on it unless I happen to be around.

All the good stuff is either in loot, or enchanted by you. Even at level 4, you should have at least 1 Sigil Stone, if you've done Kvatch, you can use it to enchant an item for free.

Ok so I've pinpointed my performance issues to 3 main areas, and have 1 other problem. If any of you know which areas of the .ini to tweak, your help would be very... helpful?

Anyway, so I lag like CRAZY whenever weather effects take place. Take Kvatch for instance. The courtyard after oblivion, in which the battle takes place in the rain, results in about 15 FPS for me. Snow, fire, rain, any environmental effect.

The next problem is magicka effects. Also in Kvatch, whenever I get into a fight in the castle with more than 1 Scamp, and there are several fireballs being launched at me and fire effects in the castle, it lags INSANELY. To the point of being unplayable. I get killed every time because I can't time my blocks and attacks.

Last, like many others, outdoor foliage slows the comp down, but not to a huge extent. I'd say in a forest I have about 24-35 FPS. Not bad, but I wouldn't mind reducing leaf and grass detail to get it about 30 constantly.

Now past the graphical problems, I have huge mouselag whenever my FPS dips below 50. Any tweak for this?

I got my horse stolen from the god damn Skingrad stables. It was there when I was talking to Count Skingrad about aid for Bruma(and I'm only level 10, Manstein:D it's not MQ either, it's a Blades mission) and by the time I got to the Stables the bastard was gone. It was bad enough losing alot of important items(one of my Sigil Stones, my Kvatch Curaiss, my Silver Longsword, et al), but my horse!?

What's worse is that I lost alot of time by having to go all the way back to Cloud Ruler Temple to get the much slower and weaker Weynon horse. I waited until dawn to set out, and by that time it was nightfall when I reached Kvatch. After that I just said screw it and went to Chorrol to continue the MQ.

Cool game, eh? I've TOTALLY ignored the main story line, so I don't even know what you're talking about when it comes to Sigil Stones. And I'm level 20.

My guy is getting near the top of the Fighters Guild, doing work directly for the Grey Fox for the Thieves Guild, and working up the Mages Guild. Mostly I've been kicking around trying to find those artifact statues for that collector. I love the tombs. :)

I've got 100 agility and my guy sneaks so well he could get inside a chastity belt without anyone knowing.

It's totally amazing that two people could have such different experiences with the same game. I'm really impressed.

this may be the best game i've ever played.

I fell into the same situation with not finding anywhere to put my stuff so i just bought a house, i had too much money lying around anyways (like 40k.)

Is there anything worthwhile to spend your money on in this game? I'm already selling like 8k items for 1.2k since i can't find a merch with more money then that already.

Concerning money of merchants: May your trading skill, then you can "invest" in shops which then have a higher maximum price they pay. (haven't tried it out yet though, as I have shamefully neglected this skill)

Concerning fame: Simply play the speechcraft minigame and/or bripe until the seller likes you for 70 points. And in the imperial city, I think you can buy the house any time and it only costs a little. You can get it in a shop in the market quarter (anything somehwat office, righthandside "place" when you quicktravel there).

And concerning bows and armor: as monsters, the loot is level scaled, so until you advance in levels, you won't find "good" equipment.

You get a free horse from the monk downstairs where Jauffrey is, but only after you are told to find the Emporer's son.

The main quest is a tad short :|

Yeah, according to a couple things I read, I'm actually really close to the end. I just need to gather defenders. :\

anyone can tell me where to get a good bow and light armour? im desperate.
Doesn't work like that. Almost everything revolves around your level, so you're going to have to level or do quests to get better equipment. That or close Oblivion gates, you can usually take away quite a bit of stuff from those(always check the fleshy pods and punisheds, they usually carry lots of very nice things)

its ok ive found some decent looking stuff now. - i hardly ever find good stuff in oblivion gates :O. i closed one recently and found some decent stuff including a great amulet i already have and a sword not quite as good as my current one... i just close them for the sigil stones which are great items.
