Perhaps this site has been referred to before - I could not find the reference. Literally thousands of photographs of the Eastern front were collected and posted by an enthusiast.

For me it took 2 days to go through on of the albums (Latest WWII Russian Front photographs) and I was left with a sad feeling after seeing so many graveyards and burials. Yet there is also the experience of being right there. A suggestion: ignore the trolling among some of the accompanying comments!

Nice page, a really -really- good collection of pictures.
many of the pictures really show what an tragedy the eastern front was.. especially one.. was an close up with an solider sitting with a really sad face over what seems to be an friends grave..


And yeah... pritty annoying especially the one who was commented as "the communist stalinloving retard from north eastern soviet"
