Did anybody see the press conferences so far?

Ubisofts p/c is just over and this was the most epic fail ever, imo it was even worse than activisions a few years ago.

The media is all a-buzz about Kinnect, and I fail to see the interest, other than the obligatory "must hum on the power player's nuts." Zomg, I'll be able to log on to Xbox Live by saying hi and waving. Zomg, I'll be able to watch sports videos on my gaming console.

<sarcasm> As a gamer, these are the things I've been craving. <sarcasm>

I'm sure in two years something worthwhile will be done with it....but from a gamer's standpoint, all I see is MS waving a big shiny at me in a desperate gamble for my money.

Nintendo weak as always. Kinda funny that there seem to be more "hardcore" games for 3ds in development than for Wii...........still Ubisoft wins the epic fail conference award so far

My score so far

Microsoft: B While they didn't do charts and numbers their kicker (ohh a new unit with the same things a ps 3 has had inside since forever) wasn't enough to impress. Solid game line up but nothing new/huge. Also Kinect at 150 = bad move imo.

EA: B+ Showed off some awesome games, much of it looking playable.

Ubi: D Uhh somebody call life support. Not funny, stupid new "games". Ohh we invented laser tag 20 years too late!

Nintendo: B+ They stayed away from the charts this year. Hurray! Showed up with lots of things their fans have been demanding. Marred by a horrible demo of the new Zelda, and a few numbers.

Sony: A+ They too stayed away from the numbers, but like Nintendo couldn't resist the urge. Big points for Kevin Buttler to off set the numbers. Didn't like the new kid for the psp so much. Lost some of those Buttler points. Revising to add points for parts of steam and portal 2!

OK SONY WINS. STEAM AND TWisted metal

E3 2006 was the best. "So here's this giant enemy crab." I can't believe I actually watched that live.

So far I haven't really been impressed by anything. I have a feeling Gamescom will be better

I didn't even know they streamed E3 presentations online. Not that I care about any of the games they're showing though. The only two games I'm looking forward to at the moment are ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead and RO2. Maybe The Witcher 2 as well.

BC2 gameplay in a Vietnam setting could be cool, but BC2 still feels like a relatively new game to me... they are so quick to release sequels these days... :/

Nintendo stole the show, IMO. Wii + PC is the perfect combination

Watched all of them, IMO;

Microsoft: They lacked harcore games, no new unveilings and only games we all knew about. Kinect is a lame name, all the games they showed were typical Wii-like shovelwares. Only good ones are Your Shape from Ubi and Dance Central from Harmonix. Kinect has a terrible lag as well, and 150$ price point? No way. They just upset their "core" audience with this show.

Nintendo: LOL, totally not appealing to me. Maybe for children. I also like how they didn't allow any picture/video from 3DS screen.

Sony: Again, the winner of this E3. They have an incredible line-up for both Move and core-PS3, and the content they showed were amazing. I think 3D technology is nice but needs some time to mature from price point of view. Kevin Butler and Gabe Newell were the high points. It's good to know GT5 is finally coming for real.

i loved the trailer, but i think they should have made it less obvious. as soon as the cabbies started talking you knew it was gonna be twisted metal

Meh, very average E3 imo because there weren't any big announcements(HL2 EP3, Elder Scrolls V, GTA V, etc.). Jessica Chobot from IGN's E3 channel was a highlight though lol.

I've been swaying back and forth between a ps3 or an xbox so I decided to wait until after E3. I must say Sony overwhelmingly won. The 360 slim feature and price wise is what was expected but the design aesthetic is rather subpar. The kinect ended up being nothing but a gimmick with very bland looking wii game ports basically. Poor showing by microsoft in software hardware and brand image. That little asian girl playing with the virtual tiger was embrrassingly stupid. Sony on the other hand: Twisted Metal and GT5 release date!!!!!

I watched IGN at E3 on youtube...MS started with Kinect, Ubisoft showed the new Ghost Recon and everything else I think was Kinect crap. The beginning was just 5 minutes of some douchebag with his back to the crowd waving his arms at a screen. Sony of course had to show their freaking motion sensing tech too...overall I think E3 was garbage. They'd show 7 minutes of a game on their lineup, talking to a developer, and then go to an intermission for 13 minutes in which they showed the crap they showed earlier over and over (they were showing all sorts of MW2 footage during the intermissions.) The only good thing was reading IGN articles about games I cared about, detailing what the author saw.

Completely agree. I really don't understand why people are so excited for a single player expansion of a five year old game. Bout time for a sequel on a new engine.
