For comparison and sake of nostalgia, I'd like to see the first 45 minutes of Duke Nukem 3D. Hell, I think I'll just go buy it from GOG instead of this megaflop.
I find it to be great fun, interaction is nice and I feel like a small child again. I like games that try to be over the top arcade like duke and serious sam, and I like games that really try to make things as realistic as possible.

Don't be dissapointed. While adopting some new FPS mechanics, it still is the duke. One of the most fun games in a long while. Not groundbreaking, but really, really fun.
Well, I'm convinced not to buy it, at least at anything close to regular price. Looks to me like a bad generic shooter with Duke's name on it... 
I'm. DNF has all issues, defects, weak spots of old and new shooters, plus looks and works like average console port.
I enjoyed more Bulletstorm tbh.

Damn, you're good. Yep, that's the case I have. Very nice case, it's lasted me quite some time now. Not sure she'll make it through to my next big hardware upgrade though.
It plays like a game from long ago with ok graphics.
The game saves seem a bit wonky, it feels like I've been tele-ported to the end of the last bit when re-loading the save-point, feels like I'm skipping through the level...Anyone ?
Good fun but no more than that.
Oh, I like how the initial loading screen appears on the desktop at start up, apart from that, nothing new.
I'm as far in as The Hive episode atm.
I'll check out MP later.

Wow he really nailed how I feel about most of the fps and singleplayer games in general in that last 3 minutes. Boring, repetive grinding and waste of time.
This pretty much killed any interest I had for this game.
I think it started around this console generation. Now we finally had console power to give us stunning and "realistic" graphics and apparently in real life everything around us is a grey-brownish sludge.
1996 with the release of Quake
I definately think "brown" when i think Quake, yeah.
As for when the trend started, where every shooter had to be grey/brown, it was probably around 2005, you go any earlier than that and i remeber lots of colourful shooters, like UT2004 which was probably one of the last big ones, but past that.. not so much, it definately started to set in at that point.

I think this is when most people would agree that the brown = realistic movement truly began.
UT2004 had some very colorful graphics, at least on most of the maps. I remember as I played it religiously for several years.
