I thought of trying it on a 2nd run.. but after i loaded up the game menu I just found myself staring for a minute or two before going to the exit.. Its truly one of the best games ive ever played, but its addicting like crystal meth- cant start that addiction again (to the game, not to crystal meth :p )

im on my 3rd run atm
1st run was ruined by corrupting the char (was at 50%)
second run was rather fast with a human rouge
3rd run is with some DLC and i try to do any sidequest i come across (elven rouge, yes i LOVE rouges ^^)

well, i just wished the story behind the DLC's were a bit longer..
you go through them in around 30 minutes

but the bonus items/skills and compannions they offer are awesome ^^

oh god Shale is the most awesome compannion ever ^^

I am now in the fade in the circle of mages mission. One thing that always annoys me about these newer RPGs is how you get dragged into multiple quests at once. I mean right now I should be in the Redcliffe Castle freeing the boy from the demon which needs you to only briefly get to the circle and recruit a couple of mages but when you're there you have to purify the tower first and to do that you need to
...
oh and you probably have a dozen side-quests open as well. It's hard to keep track of all of these things when you're playing 5 hours a day. When you're only able a couple of hours a week like I am it's impossible to remember all these things.

And the Fade is a bit annoying in that you basically have to redo all the levels after you got all shapes or you will miss many of the permanent property boosts.

Thats why you have a Journal and the "tab" key which shows you where to go on quests

Do as I did: say "f*ck you" to anyone who tries to give you a quest (except Morrigan ^^) =P

I'd have to argue that no one dragged you into completing the Mage Circle quest - you had a choice on how to solve the problem in RedCliffe and you chose to use the Magi. Doing things the "right" way is never the easy way :p

i didnt have that problem at all, only places i had to revisit were fiest and second fade level
Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't there at least one spirit door and at least one massive door in every level? So unless you get the spirit form in the first level you visit after the initial one you have to re-do some?

well you have to re visit places for some skills anyways to get to the demon

on my first playthrough i revisited every place as i didnt know where i would find a skill
the second playthrough was far faster and i only had to revisit 2 places
as you allready get the mouseform in the first level
