When you join a server that has custom maps and you download them, Where do they download to? i've definately downloaded them from the server since i can play that map on the server again without redownloading it but its not on my harddrive anywhere, i did a search for the map name and it doesnt come up, i searched every single folder in the killing floor folder and found nothing. so can anyone tell me if you can even access maps you download ingame?

They are stored in your cache. The idea is you use them for that round. The easiest way to fix your issue is to download them from this site or from moddb. There is a way to get they out of cache but I can't remember off-hand. You can't access them in your game until the map file is in your map folder.

Something like this might do the trick.

I haven't tested it, but KF uses the same game engine and the folder structure is almost identical afaik, so it *should* work.

You could just go in the cache dir and check the ini, there you will find all the cryptic names of the files in the dir and what files they really are. Check which is the one you want and just rename it and copy it in the right dir.

Example: I want to host KF-Survival which i played online on a server.
Open "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor\Cache\cache.ini" and look for KF-Survival.
"62ECB76C43903AACE06E4E8F66AE8074-1=KF-Survival.rom" - This is the filename for me, its different for anyone. So i copy the file 62ECB76C43903AACE06E4E8F66AE8074-1.uxx into the Maps dir and rename it to KF-Survival.rom. Done.

Only thing you have to make sure is copying custom textures and meshes too if the map uses any.
