Double Barrel Nerf?

WOW so this bug just crossed over form KF1. Can you still jump and crouch to get damage in?
Yes.

There is no point blank range bug in KF1.
There is. That's why you had to crouch or jump before shooting Scrake's head. In other cases it wasn't noticeable as much as in KF2, because zeds were slower and usually died before getting at your face.

Hasn't every time I've tried to use it. Whether it's HP or the physics attached to it, double barrel simply doesn't have the punch.

Then again, maybe the stun/stumble is relative to total damage, in which case only higher level support would see it.

That's dumb, you'd think the hunty stun would belong to support.

Let's be realistic, KF1's DBS is pretty dumb too. Ammo are more expensive than sell the gun and buying the gun anew.

The only weapon are balanced right now is medic's line, Every other perk's kit got it's problem.

Commando's SCAR are a downgrade to AK12 if you are not lv15. Zerker's T4 is a joke. Support's T1-T3 shotgun are all bad except AA12.

There is point-blank bug (shotgun pellets don't damage zeds at zero-range from you). Plus, it seems that KF2 Boomstick has higher spread than KF1 had.
Basically, if you get too close to a Siren, then you won't hurt her because of bug. If you made a few steps back, then you won't kill her because most pellets will fly around her skinny body.

Point-blank bug must be fixes ASAP.
Sirens are too "tanky" for their look.

I believe it's actually less spread than KF1. The first one had way too much spread. Also if you look at the barrel length of the gun it justifies the spread. Even still, it's less than the first game's spread.

It does seem a bit weak, but compared to other weapons in the game(except the AA12 obviously) it's a beast

Please, please, please switch the Hunting Shotgun to tier 3 and the M4 to tier 2. It would make everything so much better, I would gladly welcome a higher price increase to the boom-stick with a SLIGHT damage buff.

You didnt play with shotguns enough in KF1 then. Shotguns also lose the penetration if you stand too close. So in KF1 you need to me 2-3 meters away from your target to get the full damage in. But at that range some pellets can deal damage to both hitboxes of the zed, so you do more than normal damage.

As in KF2 with you are fighting gorefasts/crawlers it gets most noticeable. If they use the jump attack to get in your face, you cant hit them. I may miss the head, but no way in hell I am missing the body which take over 70% of the screen. And if the crawler is right at your feet, you need to take a step back or crouch to hit it.

Double barrel is indeed nerfed, or rather brought in line with this strict tier system which I have to say I dislike.

There should be cheaper weapons with specific uses, just as in KF1, not the more or less straight up T4 beats T3 beats T2 beats T1 we have now. AA-12 spam being the most viable way to kill scrakes and fleshpounds currently is pretty depressing. I hope TWI will look hard at the meta and combos that were possible in KF1 and try to emulate some of them. I guess we will have a good idea where its heading when we get the next perks.

Yeah I feel the strict tier system promotes a dull, systematic playstyle. But like you said we'll see how it goes when the next batch of stuff is realeased! :cool:

It's most notable with Sirens as you instinctively get up nice and close to make sure every pellet lands in her frail little body (head), then frantically back pedal and fire multiple shots trying to bring her down as she "does your bloody head in".

Hunting shotgun is great. Low weight and still packs a punch up close. It doesn't need any change. I see a lot of medics and higher leveled supports use the hunting shotgun over the pump.
