Of course I use level 6 perks. To me, the game is about having fun, not grinding all my perks to level 6, although I am finding that I play other perks a lot more since I got Sharpshooter to level 6.

I try to avoid using my Level 6 abilities when I can, if only for the sake of trying to get Mr Perky. Ultimately though, I'm here to have fun, so if I feel like unloading some shotgun shells into a few zeds, I have no reservations about breaking-out my Level 6 Support for a map or two.

Edit: Basically, you could break it down to answering this question:

Is there a point to grinding a Perk to Level 6 if you're NEVER going to use it ever again because you're too busy leveling other perks?

I never understand these people I see from time to time who will get all their Perks to Level 6, then decide that there's no reason to play the game anymore. Um... how about to USE those Perks you just got done grinding to Level 6? If all you want to do is endlessly grind at your level, go play Gemstone, I hear it takes over 4 years to reach max level, and that's IF you hardcore grind for 4+ hours a day*.

So yeah, I try to level all my Perks because I enjoy playing all perks (some more than others, natch), but if I join a server that lacks any Skrake/FP control, I'm going to load-up my Level 6 Sharpy. I have more fun not dying than I do grinding my Melee damage.

*(nevermind that it's a text-based MMO and most gamers these days have a hard enough time maintaining their ADD long enough to play the explosion-fest that is MW2 for more than a few matches, let-alone long enough to read more than a few sentences)

knee deep in pussy.

Oh god, you must be the type who joins an HoE game and has no idea how to actually play even though you're level 6.

Anyway, yes I use level 6s.

No I don't.
I'm not ready for HoE and I don't bring people's games down by trying.
I mainly play Hard and occasionally Suicidal.

I don't play in servers, I play with a group of friends. So I don't bring anyone down nor do I ruin anyone's games.

I have one level 6 and that's SS, I've stopped using mostly to get my others, I currently have Medic, Support, Commando and Demo at mid-level 5 so I'm alternating between those depending on what's needed to get those up.

Before I met my friends (I made a lot of friends from servers) I used to rock my level 3/4's in Hard. If you can use them well then you'll be fine, I wouldn't suggest Suicidal without a level 6 though.
I mean, I did a Suicidial with my friend earlier as a Level 4 Commando, but it was very difficult, I wouldn't suggest it.

I only have one level 6 which is SS, now I have Support, Medic, Demo and Commando midway through level 5 that I alternate with depending on the map or what the team needs.

I started the game with a group of good personal friends, who at that time were about 3 levels ahead of me, give or take. We have our own server and they had no problem leaving everything for me to kill so i could catch up quick.

I enjoyed leveling and grinding out the perks as time went on. I didn't often play the 6's I had unless necessary if I could work on leveling another perk. Of course team comes first.

Play what makes you happy.
If you like to level up by all means grind it out. Reset them when you're done and start all over if you want.
If you like to play one perk and forget the others, no one can tell you thats wrong or stupid or a waste of time.

The only thing that bugs me, and I will never do personally, is when people use their level 6 while someone else is trying to rank up with the same perk.

I was a few hundred headshots from Sharp rank 6 earlier this week and I distinctly remember one guy mid-game deciding he was going to play his rank 6 and start hogging all the headshots and kills.

**** drives me nuts.

Everyone is supposed to do headshots, though. I headshot constantly as a commando, anything else is wasting ammo. As for people "hogging all the headshots and kills", you probably need to get faster, or better, or find another spot to cover. Sharp is pretty easy to level, I think I had 6 within a couple weeks of getting the game.

Anybody can bodyshot, that's one reason games like Quake are popular, you don't have to hit players in the head, you just gotta hit them.

I love sharp, but got bored of it when they made it stupidly overpowered. Now that it is fixed, I am getting back into it and enjoying it again.

As for lvl 6, it only really matters in HoE. If you are good enough, a lvl 3 is fine in suicidal, I've taken my firebug on there regularly as a lvl 3, and I really don't like or play that class well.

When I was leveling my perks, I never used a level 6 to play until all of them were level. Of course, with the exception of first round because I would sell the xbow to receive money and then change class on wave 2.

I'll tend to use my lvl 6 SS to sell the xbow. If I do end up using it long term because the team needs the help I usually save up for a SCAR so I can level my commando perk at the same time.

I think a lot of people need to change their philosophy on the game. Too many people just want to power level and increase their perks as quickly as possible. I was fooling around on Doom 2 the other day super late at night (or early in the morning I guess) only to be asked by someone to not shoot any zeds because he needed the damage and stalker kills. Upon not listening to his request I received death wishes and was called various other insults. I guess it kept the game interesting at 2:30am.

Instead of playing to level one should play to simply enjoy the game. Just play how you

I will use my l6's no matter what really. Most the time i will go L6 at the begining of the round and rather A) Give the spawned weather to a friend who is player and is a low level B) Don't use it and sell it (what i do with xbow)

Then after that i go to other perks to level them, as recently done support to L5 so will be Demo to L5 next, then slowly do Firebug & Zerker which the latter is still just L2.

I will go Medic L6 at the end of the game for the Patty if on Hard to give extra support and will go Commando L6 on patty if on normal.
