Do you even use crouch?

When I am desperate and I buy AK 12. That thing has such a high recoil that crouching is required to shoot properly.

Yes, I use it when I know others are shooting from behind me.

So few people crouch in first line.

That's because game developers usually make friendly bullets pass through players, instead of brutally murdering them or making said bullets disappear into oblivion. (I think you could disable this in KF1, or it was never enabled to begin with... I honestly don't remember.)

FF was disabled by default.
Turning it on was a simple checkbox when creating the server.
It was easy to miss when joining a server.

FF = off made everyone hate demolitions.

The first KF game was centered around finding a choke-point and pretty much camping there the whole game, so crouching allowed everyone to be able to shoot through the choke-point.
The second game doesn't really allow for that so crouching ends doing more bad than good since it reduces mobility.

Then you are a terrible team player.

Oh spare me the drama. I typically play medic. I shoot healing darts in your butt all game long. By definition that makes me a team player god.

The game forces you to keep moving with Zeds being bullet sponges and players gather in the wide open sections of every map, so there is plenty of room to move and shoot with zero interference of teammates.

As I said, crouching is not required yet.

Better accuracy and less obstruction. An ideal example: my wingman and I take down scrakes by having one crouch in front of the other and coordinating our spray.

One common situation where it proves useful: corpses are piling up in a poorly lit area, and the crawlers are shuffling through the corpses of other crawlers. I find it easier to crouch and shoot straight, hits them quicker and more accurately.

A less common one: when I really, REALLY have to kill a husk at long range with a non-Scar assault rifle to keep him from teleporting to the front of the group and bbq'ing the zerks.

another nice thing about crouching while shooting is if crawlers bust in (and on Suicidal they approach rapidly) then you're already in position to line them up for a multi-kill or bullet-hose them more easily

I crouched in KF1 when camping in a hallway. Don't really do that in KF2.

But I'll occasionally crouch to shotgun blast a mess of crawlers.
