I'm pretty sure he means the class selection screen.

When you're alive, and you end up in the "Change Role" screen, there is no way to get out of it but pressing Continue, which kills you.. Therefore ESC should escape out of that menu.

Ohh god yes, it's so much easier to quickly tap escape to close text chat in the heat of battle.

So many times i've hit chat instead of T (i play a lot late at night) and always quickly hit escape (force of habbit).

Word to all our collective mamas. ESC needs to be resurrected as an ESCAPE - from text chats, from role selection screens, etc.

And truly, the "gg"s at the end of a round are a hallmark of the unbelievably polite RO community. GG and NPs are woven into the fabric of the community - yet they're conspicuously absent in the beta.

...Every other game uses ESC as a universal exit key and I've been conditioned to use it, so I think it would be a really nice tweak.

The default chat key is "U" sure people could change it but, its not a good idea to have the chat key also the unchat key, in my opinion atleast.

Esc seems like the best option.

I'm finding this profoundly annoying as well.

Is there an ini file you can change to change the binding of console button?

As a naturally touch typer I with without fail hit ' if I'm typing i'm, you're they're, so not only do i have to exit console but then delete letters and start again.
