How would you guys felt if TWI released a DLC later on down the road to cover the rest of the war? Like a battle for Berlin DLC, meaning took place in 1945. So covering the rest of the weapons but also though in some prototype weapons that were used like the SKS ( pretty sure reports of it being used )

As its fully modable you pretty much can do anything you want and they will bring expansions as big as the normal game but well see

I actually kinda already count that TW itself will add some stuff later. They did that so far for all their games.

Well I'm pretty sure they will to, I mean if they come out with a big size DLC that covered the last day so of the war, and (because I like the idea of using rare tested weapons) implying all the weapons that were tested in ww2. Including tanks. (not the full list that would take years to model that many :p )

Im hoping that maps and stuff will be free, i'd only pay for something in the way of a full blown expansion pack.

Seeing as RO2 is TWI' biggest and most publicised game to date, I wonder (and kind of hope) that they'll do something similar to what valve does with source i.e bolting stuff on and improving/tweaking the engine over time, as I imagine RO2 will be their focus for a good while. (unless its such a success RO3' announced on a custom built engine or something)

If DLC is not free, it should not be something that will divide the users between those who bought the dlc and those who didn't. So for example, maps shouldn't cost money because if they did, the people playing those maps would only be the people that paid for them, and the community would be divided. But custom skins for example would be fine to charge for...

I dont think Tripwire will ever make DLC that will devide their community lik maps you have to pay for most likely just skins like in KF if any at all

Well I guess if the game is a huge success and they don't want to divide people, they could add all the weapons in the original like the MG42 and all the later weapons and make it a 1940-1945 DLC (hate how we call them DLC's now, what ever happen to just calling them patches {that have new features})

I'm all for more content, though I'd rather they go the way of content rich "expansion packs" (they can still be downloadable of course) rather than multiple small DLCs that seemed to have hurt games in my opinion. Things like Rising Storm might be a good idea because while they release completely new content, it doesn't hurt people that own only vanilla RO2 since it's a completely different setting and worth the money in my opinion.

What TWI will certainly do is release patches and not DLCs, like they always did. It's kind of dumb to pay for maps wich seperate the community.

That's so boooring! Why not try something new and go the other way and begin to slowly take away maps and elements of the game as time goes by
so after a year or two there will be nothing but the main menu of the game.
This way everyone is looking forward to RO3 earlier.

In Kf you had additional content allways beign FREE. For skins you had to pay..so everything that ADDs to the game besides on a cosmetic level is free. ( and i have never read anything else from TWi ) They allready announced they want to add more tanks and vehicles down the road along with rising storm. Future looks good guys...:D
