Disruptor nerf makes gun pointless.

Weapon is a Tier 4 and expensive. It was supposed to be good. Now it's pointless. Deagles are cheaper and more effective especially in weight, cost, and damage comparison. HOE players who complain simply shouldn't pick them to use. If it stays as it's current nerf, weight, and cost need to be reduced, and magazine size should be increased. It was a fine weapon especially for single players who don't play HOE

I think it's just impossible to balance a Tier 4 weapon around being incredibly lightweight. Back in Beta 1, it was possible for the Gunslinger to only live on 6 weight blocks and still be able to kill everything, which is probably broken on what's already the fastest perk in the game. The Disruptor with its old stats allowed the Gunslinger to run even faster due to being much less encumbered compared to other perks who would otherwise need all 15 weight blocks filled up in order to play effectively.

Personally, I think it needs to have a higher ammo reserve since the player can burn through 15+120 really easily.

I disagree respectfully but firmly.

So here's the thing: you can take the Disrupter, the Deagles, and the Magnums/AF2011--all in one loadout, along with the 9MM--and still have all your bases covered! One trash-killer, one weapon that does both, and two mid-tier/HVT weapons!

The Disruptor's primary fire-mode still dings most trash and even mid-tiers with basically any Rack 'em Up stacks, and the alt-fire still makes Scrakes and FPs walk in a straight line for takedowns.

The main thing that changed is that you can't toggle it for a free third super-Deagle (that also EMPs) on command anymore, which is fine; Gunslinger is already really good and doesn't need an easy-mode weapon that also combines with its main damage dealers, of all the perks. The Beta 1 Disrupter could 1-clip HVTs with the alt-fire and that was pretty ridiculous given the first few hits on even Fleshpounds were freebies, assuming they weren't preraged.

HOE players who complain simply shouldn't pick them to use.
See, here's the thing: even if the preexisting players decided to go with a Bushido code and not use it because it's too good, you can't stop other players from picking it, or anything else for that matter. We've already been through this with the pre-nerf Husk Cannon and other weapons, and the same excuse/reasoning comes up every time.

Better to just nip it in the bud now than let players get too used to having the thing, lest the power creep become normalized.

It was a fine weapon especially for single players who don't play HOE
If it was already too good for HoE, then it's even better for anything that isn't HoE.

Wut

I mean, yes, the thing is pretty lightweight, but runspeed isn't what makes the gun OP, it's the absurd kit combined with the damage. Gunslinger's meant to have bad CC to compensate for sheer damage; having a gun that one-taps medium Zeds and one-clips anything larger than that, on top of EMP chain-stuns, is what's OP.
