So the word is the game has about 20 hours of gameplay through the main storyline. More if you take your time and chew thoughtfully.

That and apparently even with the game cranked up to max, the overall quality of the graphics is pretty poor.

20 hours sounds fine to me and imo the game looks rather good, at least based on what I saw in TB's review. As he said, it's "watercolory", and I'm perfectly fine with that.

Yeah graphics looked good on TB's video. Nice, sharp, unique art style. I'm seeing 20-25 hours for the main story if you put effort into exploring and playing methodically. That's plenty. I'd actually prefer if devs started packing the sp experience into a tight package instead of drawing stuff out into an inevitable slog. More sp experiences like Portal please.

Btw. GMG 25% coupon code (expires Friday 10/12): GMG25-EVFWS-4Z4ZN

I don't mind longer games as long as the quality of the experience doesn't suffer due to the devs forcefully drawing out the game in order to artificially make it take longer to complete (which, I admit, is very rare).

It reminds me of an old Action/RPG game called Strife if anyone played it

Ahh Strife, the first FPSRPG, or atleast the first to get it right.

Still holds up to this day BTW, slap on a Sourceport like Z-Doom and it'll play like a champ, and it's still a damn fine game :)

As for Dishonored, it looks like a good game, the PC port is apparently quite ok, seems like a game i should look at buying, but is it worth full-retail plus taxes? Or is it a "wait for the price drop" game? See that i am not so sure of..

The leangth of the game is a concearn, not that a shorter and more focused story can't be a good thing, because it can be, Portal certainly proved that.
But then, Portal did not cost 60 buxlol, it was short and well paced, didn't outstay it's welcome, but it was also priced accordingly, it was not a full-price title.

Eh, i do belive i'll wait for more verdicts on the game before i toss my wallet into the fray.

The game looks great so at the moment I'm torn between getting this or AC3. I think I'll wait for this games price to drop though.

Well I'm playing on Very Hard, reading all the books, talking to the people, doing side quests, etc, and I'm 3 1/2 hours in on my second mission.

The length is probably short if you rush through things, but if you like attention to detail then Dishonored will grab you for a good while. Even more if you like replaying different ways.

Damn. This game is making a nonlethal playthrough rather difficult in an unexpected way (a bit of a spoiler, but nothing really major, since it's from the first mission you are given after escaping the prison).

Spoiler!
