So after maxin the Kar98 to level 50 and getting veteran rifleman, I decided it was time to get a different gun to level 50. My eyes settled on the German LMG and I try to pick it when I can now. So after a bunch of rounds I went to check how my levels were doing to notice I have it at level 14 at the moment. What suprised me is the amount of kills needed for the next level, it wants me to make 90 kills at level 14 to get to 15.
90 kills is quite a lot considering it is only at level 14 I thought, so I went to check on the Mosin Nagant that I now level up whenever I end up rifleman again, I have my Mosing Nagant at level 22 and it requires me to make a mere 28 kills to get to level 23. Let me say that again, 28 kills to get it to level 23.
How is this anywhere near fair? I understand the machine gun has the potential to score more kills if you are set up well and protected, but honestly this almost never happens. I get around the same amount of kills as I would have gotten with my super accurate rifle, while having to put up with deploying the weapon making me a sitting duck for rifleman. I am not stupid and set up my gun in the open, I always try to have my flanks protected... and yet I can manage only a few more kills than my rifleman on average.
With it already asking 90 kills to advance to level 15, it seems a gargantuan task to get this gun to level 50 as I can only imagine it asking around a 1000 kills when you get to the level 40's.
Are the other guns as bad, or is the rifleman just lucky he can level up his gun real fast (because the devs think rifleman can't get kills so must level up easy).?
