some of you might know "game booster" or other kinds of software disabling useless windows services while gaming. amd has a nice little tool to do just that, it also has options for software overclocking and such. today i started playing without it, later i activated it and it really improved the performance.
you can download it here.
give it a try, i'd like to know if it helps you too!

Thanks for the link tixhal.

I downloaded the software but want to check the documention first as the message displayed with the software contained the warning I copied below.
I would be concerned if my antivirus or other security software was disabled.
Do you know if there is a way to keep it from doing that?

I'm not concerned about O/C as I have done that for years.

  1. THIS UTILITY MAY DISABLE SECURITY / ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE, OR ADVERSELY AFFECT YOUR SYSTEM. REVIEW ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTATION CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING.
  2. AMD'S PRODUCT WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DAMAGES CAUSED BY OVERCLOCKING, EVEN WHEN ENABLED VIA AMD SOFTWARE.

under software there is an exceptions list, just fill in the names of the processes you want to keep running. i'm not sure, but i think it doesn't deactivate my antivirus or firewall by default. i'll check later.
edit:the gaming profile does disable the security center (you can change it in the software tab), windows defender keeps running. 3d party software like antivirus or firewall aren't disabled afaik. if it does, just put it in the exceptions list.
