Disable Steam Community, gain FPS

Some dude said "disable Steam community, gain 10 fps".

Ever since the patch I've had some lag/ghosting issues that a friend agreed but more accurately called it "stuttering"

So.. I thought "meh", give it test. Absolutly, a gain in graphic smoothness. I don't know what my FPS was or is, but it's better.

Not sure if this topic has been tackled..didn't feel like searching to see if this is a redundant post.

What do you mean disable? Like disable steamfriends so that you're offline?

No. This only disable the option for you to press shift + tab to open the Steam's overlay window. That's all.

90+ fps before steam community still 90+ after.. So I get to enjoy talking with my friends via steam still and have the same fps yay.

And yes this does work. When i play RO2, Steam swallows 30% of my CPU

No, like I said, it doesn't work for me.. My computer is good enough to handle both I guess. So like I said. 90+ fps before and 90+ fps after.

Probably only works for people with older CPU's

I wasn't really intending this post to help people already ripping out 90+ frames.

ive been doing this for some time now like few days after release for me it fixed the constant crashing :/ but no FPS change guess i can put it back on now since the crashing is fixed

i find my framerate higher on servers with PB turned off :/
