I try to be careful but sometimes when I'm backpedaling I accidentally pick up another pistol or Handcannon. While it gives greater firepower it also detracts from your precision a bit and can eat away at your ammo if you're not careful.

Perhaps there could be a toggle in the menus somewhere to enable or disable picking up another 9mm/HC. If you run over it and your option is disabled then you'd get the "Cannot carry this weapon" message. If you're out of ammo and you run over a 9mm/HC you will just get the ammo it has and the gun will disappear off the map. It would be just like you ditched your weapon and picked up that one instead.

There might be issues with this but I didn't see anything too major. What do you think? D:

That is a good idea. Sometimes I like to carry duals as support, when I have a good team. It fits the shotgun role, sustained firepower with a slow reload, and I fire them in bursts, like an SMG. I play on suicidal, usually.

I'd also like the option to draw one or both pistols when using duals.

Being able to duel with the welder certainly would be interesting.

On a more serious note I too would like to have a way to switch between single/dual wielding.

The animations are there officially done by TW, it just needs to be coded and implemented

That makes this much easier to implement.

And it seems like a nice feature to prevent annoying ammo losing.

Which pretty much means that any arguments of it being difficult to code/animate are a little less valid. And anyone who says that this is gamebreaking really needs to stop trolling:D
