Dingoo A320

Well, the Dingoo is a handheld which has a lot of useful features which makes it the perfect portable media player in my eyes.

It comes with a 2,8" display and 4gb internal memory (and a Mini SD slot for more) it plays normal video files (no converting needed), most of the commonly used audio file types (not ogg though).
You also can play old 8 and 16-bit games with the built in emulators (SNES, NES, GBA, Genesis and more) which makes it the perfect entertainment platform for long bus/train rides or on vacations.

But the best part in my eyes is that the firmware of this thing is open source so anyone can (in theory) customize it and you don't pay for an overpriced brand hint at the Sony PSP, Apple iPod or Nintendo DS. The Dingoo simple does what these things should be able to do but they just don't do it to date.

I paid 50€ + 10€ + 10€ = 70€ taxes for mine and it is absolutely worth it considering that I don't have to pay for content (videos, music, games, etc)

Got mine from here:

Got shipped directly from China (Shenzen) came here with DHL really fast (3 Days max)

Find the roms for yourself :p

A few things I don' like:
-the file browser is a bit messed up for example even if you are in the right directory not all files are always shown but if you know that it is no big deal
-playlists don't work with files from the Mini SD card
-Genesis games have sometimes have problems with fast scrolling (not on the TV screen though)
-if you press right on the D-pad the display gets distorted and the colors go funky
-the background lights of the display shine through the console a bit
-there are no Vista drivers for this, so you need a PC with XP to access it

So no really awful downsides here but it needs a bit time to get used to this small thing if you want to play action games on this.
