Difficulty with getting Darkest Hour going

I tried twice installing Darkest Hour unsuccessfully, but I believe it installed correctly the 3rd time.

I tried the game out in practice mode and I ran into a glitch where my weapon switched on me and I had no control of my character.

After exiting I tried getting into the game again and I could not find a shortcut anywhere; I looked on the desktop, Darkest Hour folder within Red Orchestra, and Program file listings.

How would I retrieve something I can launch the game with?

it should be in your steam games list, open steam and search there.

have you searched the DH forum? you can find most problems and sollutions there : http://forums.darkesthourgame.com/

try mapping the controls again, i need to do it each time i reinstall.

Oddly enough the Darkest Hour mod did not show up yesterday under steam games, but it has shown up this evening.

I did check the Darkest Hour forum for my install issue, but didn't with my game disappearance issue. Thankfully this isn't an issue now so I can discover more of the game.

you can right click on the darkesthour steam icon in the myGames list and add a shortcut to your desktop.
