In no particular order:

• Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
• Star Trek: Star Fleet Command 2: Orion Pirates
• Return To Castle Wolfenstein
• Oblivion (with community patches)
• Day of Defeat
• Front Line Force (HL1 mod)
• Rise of Nations (never played it, heard it was good)
• AvP 2 (with a good group of players)
• ArmA 2: Combined Arms
• The Orange Box

If the last two are too much of a gray area then Diablo 2 and MoH: AA will take their place.

well orange box is a compilation really, so....
good list thou. i love wolfie i completed it 2 or 3 times but i presume you'd take it primarily for the MP? or Enemy Territory?

That's pretty nifty. You can make your very own unreal game in your time on the island and use the internet to get resources to teach you to use it, and then release it on the interwebs.

I would probably go for the longevity route. Single player games I know would keep me stimulated whilst I build an escape raft in my free time

Surprised there is barely any MMO's and no mention of Starcraft . And I just realized... I'm going to trade out Rise of Nations for Sins of a Solar Empire, talk about a time sink!

Yeah for the MP, though ET is separate from it. Though both are great I loved the original MP. Only game I know of where smoke grenades were the most potent weapon .
