Nice one TWI:) I voted Realism Mode: More changes to game play in this mode, but it was hard to choose, there are alot of things in that list that are awwesome to have (like limb damage!)

What did YOU vote for Yoshiro? :IS2:

The game's biggest flaw is in the effectively random aimpoints required to hit people. It's the source of all the "hit reg" complaints, and it's the core functionality driving the online gameplay. Other changes are crippled while the foundation is so shaky.

this is the most important if i cant hit what my gun is aiming at all the gameplay changes or added features in the world wont bring me back. i frankly finally got fed up with it and just quit playing. everytime i start to have fun playing this game this crap shows up and ruins my fun.

Thx for the update,,I voted for more realism,,,,,
but I would like a more realistic squad system.
With 32 ppl per team the max would be 2 squads per side.
With realistic # of each class assigned to there respective squads
With the Sgt. being the squad leader(s).

@ the guy that suggested SL be equipped with Bolts,,, that will never happen. IN Urban fighting SL is up
close n personnel, Directin/urging his Men/squad onward,,and killing,,
Soldiers in the rank n file draw confidence/strength from solid/strong n sometimes fearless leadership.
SL needs a smg or auto,,,,,

For me anyways proper historical rank/structure for
what is a squad level game,,,as for the # of real players on
the field at 1 time is for me the basic's of realism.

I believe that LT's(Jr. officers)were
platoon leaders with ~100 ppl,,4-6 squads,,,

Edit: TWI enjoy the holidays,,,, n thx again for your great a ongoing support,,,,

for me i dont mind smg or semi autos but seriously they need to dumb down the ranges!! smgs would have a very short range and semis about half the range of a bolt action very frustrating when out shot by a ppsh at 200m!!! smg are officer cqb weapons not snipers!! unlocks for weapons i think are ok but should be able to put the bayonet on if you wish to, i prefer bayonet on as its a great cqb attachment. ive seen alot about this drum mg34 mag i think it was only really used in the luftwaffe bombers as defence against fighters and single drum to in most cases it was just an mg34/42 with a squad of men carrying belts of ammo hence +5 when u resupply a gunner.... id like see more unforms to maybe german paras or the germans in cammo smocks and helmets maybe mg42, fg42 and the good old luger, molotov nades even??? should also be good to put your mg34/42 on a team mates shoulder and fire as this was a valid tactical way to use a memeber as support and maybe the squad member with gun on his shoulder get an assist kill???

I really really really love this game i didnt care how hard it was i just through myself in at the deep end got owned ALOT lol but its what i wanted, more caustious less gunhoe take cover sneaking about plan my advance abit better and then all hell breaks lose in the fire fight... ive never played cod or bf again since ive got this game :)

I'd like to see quite a few of those options. I don't really care about the campaign or coop since it's not much fun.

More realism is good and the UI needs some serious improvements in places so those are a must too.

Really I'd be happier with more performance related patches I can just about play it on medium in most maps but it's not nearly as smooth as I would like to see it.

I voted for 'Realism = no unlocks and upgrades'. I hope that this would still allow for bayonets, drum PPSH mags, and other sensible upgrades. (some of which arguably should have been standard issue!)

I can't help but feel the list, although in some ways very comprehensive, missed out some key things:

- The Tank AI; yes it's the reason why UK players cant find any servers with more than a handful of players, good ping, and tanks. Because the vast majority of servers have disabled tanks.

I should have liked to have voted for changes to bleeding/bandaging system, or perhaps the limb-wounding system.

P.S I am sure TW are aware of such concerns, but I should say: Having played 500 hrs of RO1 and 80 hours of RO2, I recently decided to give the MkB a fair chance. (instead of just hating everyone else who used it)
Having been gaming consistently well (top 4 players/64) for a 5~ hour session, it nearly doubled my score very quickly; the weapon being level 0 and being so easy just made me think "What's this thing gonna be like at level 50!?" :(

Can anyone else verify that unpractised level 0 Mkb is far more effective than well-practised level 18~ rifle skills or SMG skills?

Thanks for the much improved communication in the last few weeks. If only this was going on a few months ago a lot of the people might have stuck around a bit longer. Better than Ramm blaming BF3 and arguing in favour of MKB's saying that STG44's were in RO:O and no one complained about them so why complain now (while he ignores the huge gameplay differences and that thats a prototype gun). Ignoring all the other polls like the one in the op was also a shame.

Anyway a lot of the communication I saw on the forum before put me off the game more. This suggests it could get better in the future. I realise bugs/crashes/stats etc were priority but maybe there could have been 2 teams, one looking at feedback for gameplay and future additions, one for bugs/crash/stats fixes. Ignoring everyone just made them go away to other games. If it wasn't being ignored it should have at least been acknowledged decently in the main threads

Went with online campaign, but would also be interested in improved realism features like sway and fatigue, improved commander ui and improved squad ui in addition to a few others.

Sweet. Can't wait for the new vehicles and maps. A better Squad system, more sway when fatigued, and a more realistic bandage system are definitely need to be implemented into Red Orchestra 2. I am glad you are all working hard and I hope you all enjoy the holidays.

Thanks for the poll. Be cautious when you interpret this poll, because many new RO2 players are probably not on this forum yet, opposedly to the RO vets who seem to be here in a high proportion.

Maybe, maybe not.

I have been on the forums since the day ROOST was released and I have to say that many of the RO1 Vets who were posting and hoping and singing praises before release mostly disappeared starting around a month after release.

I voted for coop; hopefully this would be coupled with improvements to the AI and the addition of a menu option for something akin to skirmish mode. It would be nice to have a fully supported skirmish option (with the possibility of coop), instead of having to use the command console to boot up games with bots. The AI is much better than RO1 in my opinion, but it could still use some work to create a more immersing experience.

Hope you all have a restful Christmas holiday.

I'd much prefer new content like maps, weapons and vehicles, but in the above poll, I'd like to see the Co-Op brought in soon, just to see what it's all about.

2nd would have been the Online Campaign.

Obviously the majority in the poll is towards making Realism more "Realistic".... and will most likely be the thing Trip focuses on..... It should be interesting to see where they go towards improving the Realism game mode and I'll be satisfied if it falls between what it is now and what was in RO1.... but not completely like RO1 because it wasn't realistic at all and extremely exaggerated in many elements.....

I'd lean towards the realism being closer to RO1 than RO2, but toned a wee bit down from RO1's physics. It's not because I felt RO1 was hard.... it wasn't hard at all and I did just fine on my own in RO1.... but it just felt exaggerated with certain things than they should have been.

Quite frankly, pretty much all these NEED worked on. Despite how much fun I have playing this game, I never complain about the broken things (just swear out loud to myself at times), so I'll say this:

This game is still pretty broken. The menus suck, in-game screen gets cluttered, the lag/ping is unbearable at times, server queue option would be grand, the climbing up out of or onto a ledge and falling back in is incredibly annoying/dangerous, Protected area insta-kill, the decline in tank gameplay because of the super bots, and of course the things mentioned in the poll you made. Since I could only choose one, I went with realism - sway, fatigue, etc., but I really need all this crap fixed.

I love this game, I play it, I ignore the crap things to the best of my ability, but it's getting to be tiresome. I can't imagine how hard you all work, but unfortunately it will still be some time before this game functions properly.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Liking the poll result so far.

Realism Mode: (sway/speed/fatigue, ie: More realistic) is getting the most votes, 50% of the voters.

My second vote goes to fixing the squad system.

+1 on the sound issues (lack of footstep sounds etc), which are very important.
