*wahhhhhhhhhh*

You have not listened to one thing that myself or others who want realism have asked for. You foolheadedly assume we want clunky movement back, and keep on kicking that as if it actually was a talking point. Why dont you go kick that strawman argument elsewhere?

This over and over again.

Why do some people think we (RO1 realism vets) want to go back to that? They are not reading what most of us are asking for or are just blatantly saying that to try and advance their own point of view :p

To be fair, there is a good bit of clamor for frankly **** stamina (not stamina effects, just tanking available stamina), sway (again, not tied to stamina, just swaying weapons), and removing the zoom. Those three things right there are the three biggest improvements over Roost. It's not an entirely unfounded fear that if a few of the loudest get their way, RO2 could become just as clunoy and odd as ROOst.

Enhanced realism is awesome, if done through increasing realism rather than just decreasing the players efficiency across the board.

I do think the HUD could be made more user-friendly though.. changing the font for the text, making it a bit bigger (or more customisable). Perhaps that would be easier to start on than re-hauling the realism settings.

I don't think this is really a major issue, and a change in gameplay is.

Sure you are going to have a few people on the fringe that just wanted RO1 with better graphics. Most of the people arguing for more sway after stamina loss, removal/limitation of hero weapons, or other things etc are happy with alot of the improvements. It just seems that TWI really went the distance in some areas to make things seem great then added (some may say botched) other things to completely detract from all the good they did.

I believe that the survey reflected a reality. People want a RO1 with better graphics and some other improvements.

The question of the matter is that after a few months of his departure, has established a level of regular players in RO2. All those players arcades (CoD, BF ...) tested the game a few days, shot 4 times and now have gone to Battlefield 3. They work like this.

Now, the regular players are all Red Orchestra 1 players, yes, those of the first game. Those who liked their style of play and away you Tripware to achieve a greater mass of players.
Now it's your turn Tripware, it's time to return the favor to these players, to return to their usual way, that way you created with RO1. It's time to implement a gaming experience more realistic. Reduce semi-rifles and smg, a recoil more real, more real sprint, an accurace system for, a large and extensive maps ... Make an RO1 with better graphics, wait for mods and expect to increase the players.

Do not try to follow the way of Call of Duty and Battlefield. A perfect example of this is in the MMORPG games, look the example of Star Wars Galaxies.

When will be aply the new changes?

I'd guess that we're looking at mid to late January for the next patch, really - but at this stage we really can't say what's going to be in that patch. I'm very much hoping that TWI return from their holidays with all guns blazing - we need some solid progress for RO2 now, if we're going to claw back some of those missing players :)

929 voters, not bad at all :) I usually see between 800 and 1500 online players in the UK evenings (mostly closer to the 800 end I suppose), so that's still a pretty good turn-out for a forum poll.

I actually think a decent amount of players probably play ROHOS, but they don't play it as often or as much as players in ROOST did; they are more casual about it. I am a good example. If us 'casual' players liked the game more like we really got into ROOST, I'm sure those player numbers online would be much higher.

Here's to hoping that at least some realism changes get put into the actual Realism mode :D

and TWI still reluctant to implement realism mode intentionally ignoring over 470 votes more than one third of active player no.

This is why I can't say good things about TWI.
