Death Screams?

I remember in the beta, hearing a fair amount of death rattles and screams, gurgles, whimpers etc.
It seems now that they are mostly removed. Is it just me? I distinctly remember acknowledging the brutal death screams, but now I don't hear any.

Yeah they are no longer there, it's a bug that got introduced in one of the patches.
They said they were working on it but it has not been said how high on the list of the things to fix this is.

They are still there, you can clearly hear them in the singleplayer campaign. This creates a real Stalingrad athmosphere, I miss them in multiplayer.

I've been listening out for these as I do find that they really do add to the battlefield atmosphere.

I very rarely hear anything on the [PARA] servers where I usually play, however last night I jumped onto the OLDGITSARMY.CO.UK server for a spell of 64 player madness and was hearing them all over the place

I've changed nothing about my PC or configs for ages so I just wonder if it could be something server side, or was it a fluke of the ethernet???

I still get them every now and again in multiplayer. Not as much as I used to. I heard one the other night that went on for at last 40 seconds of this guy gurgling and drowning in his own blood. Pretty chilling.
