There are some models from the KFmod:
/dead HazMat dude
/dead Soldier with chest wide open (no textures)
/dead Soldier (reskinned in KF-RoadToPerdition I think)

In Retail, there are only dead foundry workers this far
There are several Skins for this one, though.

In my Obsidian mission map I re-skinned the dead body textures with a camo one. Looks like a soldier uniform.

Open up the Obsidian map, select one of the dead body meshes, and copy paste into your map. You now have the texture in the myLevel texture package.

Make a skin

2 ways you can do this

-------------

1 Way:

Place the Mesh in the map.

Open the mesh properties (F4)

Display > Skin (make sure texture is slected in browser)

Click use.

--------------

2nd Way:

Your going to have to make a new mesh so you dont save over the body.

Open Mesh browser and find the body mesh.

Up top Edit> Rename Package: MyLevel

Ok Next Step

Open mesh browser select MyLevel Mesh

In the bottom of the browser youll see a material tab, Expand that

then, (make sure texture is slected in browser) Click use

Bam there you go :D

--------------

NOTE: If you do it the 1st way you dont have to make a new MyLevel Mesh. Just change the skin

You can Re-skin Zombies too but thats more complex. I did that for Obsidian

1st way isnt working for me. I have a dead worker with no head, and I applied a soldier with face mask and helmet. Its all jumbled on the mesh's surface :p

Sorry, I edited my post. I meant that the texture I picked isnt aligned properly. Is there a way to move the texture about? It looks like the guy is wearing a shirt backwards and his boots are one his arse or somthing

Nope when the mesh is made it has a textured burned onto it in that format. So you have to use the oringial body texture as a template, then edit it.

So the way to do it would be to:????
1. Make a copy of the original template
2. Use a Photo editing program to take the soldier template and morph it on the copied original template?
3. import the edited temlpate and apply to mesh?

You take the original skin/texture. You open it in Photoshop/Gimp/Paint.net what ever you use. You then draw and do you changes over the original image. Save file then reimport into unrealed under a new name.

How do I go about extracting the texture from the utx file that its in?

Open the KF SDK, Open the staticmesh file that fel listed(I'm not sure what the name of the specific texture file is,if you open the mesh file, the texture will automaticaly load) and then find the texture in your texture browser. Right click and select export to file. This will export the texture to .dds format.

You can convert or edit this file with GIMP(A versatile photo editing program). Either edit it in GIMP or convert it to .Tga file and use a photo program of your choice.

When you are finished, you can import the file back into KF SDK and save it in a new package or mylevel.
