DDOS attacks on default dedicated ports?

Yesterday I went to play on my server and it was having heavy lag.
So went to look at server and there was 1 player and 14k connections, one IP running in window.
I blocked that IP in firewall and game worked fine for a while before new lag started.
This time IP was different and there was over 30k connections.
This was only happening on Hard server instance other were ok.

So today I went to see whats up with my other server (different location) and its Wlan had crashed.
When I booted it, same thing started to happen on Hard server.

So this seems to be now gone after changing server ports forward.
