it seems for me that alot of the game crashing is map related, there are certain spots on certain maps where you can go and it will crash 100% of the time, walk around that spot and your fine..
Now for my mini review.
How many of you remember saying something along the lines of " graphics dont make a game, any more then a good story line". Well the lone gem in darkest of days basket is its story line. its gameplay mechanics are not 100% sound, and they are rather arcadish, your field of view feels like a meager 50 degrees, which becomes 20 when you zoom in on the IS. To many a RO player the zoom on the ironsights is actually a hinderance, we have plenty of pixel hunting practise already. the movement is far to fast and a plethora of other small things that might just tick off a realism junky, most of them all being ignorable except two that come to mind easily. the first being that the bolting of the rifles is about as dickheaded as possible, the second being that like all arcade games you are often sent into impossible situations like riding on a blimp with every russian and german shooting at you trying to kill you, oh yeah, your supposed to survive also. for clarification, the germans shoot you because you stole it, the russians because of those sweet iron cross decals

.
with that being over and stated though, you are a time traveler, well sorry your one of the poor ba$tards who thought general custer was a good tatician, seconds before you got an inverted mullet by an axe, a portal pops open and you are taken away from the past. you were going to die anaways so pulling you out of that time, well it has no effect on the stream of time. without spoiling the game, as an expendable asset your job is to keep time going as its supposed to have happened, or .. atleast thats what your being told..
