Things that are worth paying for...are worth paying for.

Why do you think so many street ladies (social workers) have coins jingling in their pockets!

And for the record, im only 24 so I havent got to that point yet.

I think of it this way,

The point is this...we all feel good inside...even slightly warm when we KNOW we have got a good product/deal in our hands.

Do the right thing...be a man, women.....or small child+support DH2! (the best game you dont have yet!)

I for 1 know my life would have been 10 folds different if I had, had DH2 in my stocking filler...man...I think the lethal injection would do people like me the world of good...

Anyways...hope I made 100% sense...I really must stay indoors more...keeps people like me out of trouble.

In all seriousness...DH2 still has massive potential at beccoming the best game weve all yet to play...If DH was a lady...id act shy around her...shes that beautiful.

Im pretty sure this is a self diagnosis for mental health problems...anyways...id never do such bad things that other people have done...I just shoot at pixels...im such a bad person. (well...you are making the choice of shooting those pixels dead...go shuv yourself into yourself...im not actually dropping bombs in ya face...yea.

Chargeable Mods or Map packs especially are suicide for games that have smallish (in this case pretty tiny) communitys. Segmenting the small amount left playing the game would be utterly pointless.

If this is true...then DH2 would do best by being a stand alone game?...not an addon.

After all...cs was just a mod? and look how many people didnt buy that game...

mods are free , always have been and HOPEFULLY always will be.

but if we dont plug stupidity leaks like this one it can get out of control and we will end up losing the most important aspect of the pc gaming community.

i wont stand by and watch people spew garbage like this.

tripwire already has our money for the game , if they want to release paid for content they can , if you expect me to pay for mods too you can go play on consoles and buy new ammo with your credit card where you will fit in with the rest of the bed wetting mongoloids

So, a mod team that has worked quite hard on their project and has whipped up quite a professional product, does not deserve a few bucks?
Gosh, why the hell did all those people buy counter strike then...

EDIT:Not saying that all mods should be charged for, but if a Mod team wants to comercialize their product, why not? But it has to have quality after all...

Slightly confusing logic there - because a completely free mod has MORE chance of dividing a community, because more people are likely to pick up the mod and try it - it's free after all. Download and try, don't like, uninstall - the same can't be said for something you have to buy to even download and try. More trials will result in more people sticking with the mod and playing it - so in truth you should be hoping that DH2.0 DOES cost money :)

Anyway, free, charged for, or traded for goats and chickens - DH2.0 looks to be on the way, and that's probably a very good thing for many of us :) I wouldn't completely abandon "vanilla" RO2, but I'm really looking forward to Rising Storm and DH2.0.

Paid dlc in fps is guaranteed community splitter which was proven in countless times, and this can be especially detrimental to small community like ro.

But, yeah, anything to hunt down some more nazi racists.

That Looks Awesome

That Looks Awesome

Iron Front: Liberation 1944 - Gameplay Trailer #1 [Europe] - YouTube

If they get this title right I think it might be a good replacement for DH2. Its on the east, but DH had huge mixed forces battles and so on and this game. Unlike Arma 2 will have their own tank penetration system and as you can see in the video the vehicles also blow up into parts and there is a huge explosion there that seems to indicate rag doll as well. (Germans fly to the side of a shock wave.)

They say 2011, but I think its going to be delayed.

As for OP, no I dont want to pay for the mods because I cant even currently play the main RO2 game long before it CTD. They should support me, by patching the bugs out before they should ask for more money....

That game looks awesome!!!!! Loved how that tank blew up in parts and the turret flew off like that old German war footage. Also said it would have a mission editor to create your own missions and share them.

Said it is being made by the makers of ARMA. i have never played ARMA, is that a realist game or a run and gun farb fest? Does it have a good command and control system?

I really would not have a problem paying 5-10 dollars for DH2. 30-40 though would bug me.

5-10 dollars = you working for 1 hour to accumulate such funds.

It takes years of hard work, undertaken by tonnes of people to make something great...and your only prepared to give 1 hours wages?

dear...oh dear......oh dear.

The end of the day though...we all know that people will pay decent money for a decent product. some people even pay

because it was bought up by Valve who saw another moneypit in it.
CS has ALWAYS been free untill (I think!) Valve came up with Steam, and all of a sudden the free mod that was CS was now like 10€

Same with Team Fortress1 etc

its not being made by the makers of ofp/arma/arma2 (bohemia interactive)
but it use the arma2 engine

ofp/arma/arma2 are the best games ever made
if you like realism, then you need this games
the command and control system is very good

The game isn't out yet, so we'll just have to wait and see. Arma 2 failed in pvp aside from small dedicated communities.
