Please, we need you.

Bring the world happiness Tripwire and support them. Make money off it by charging money for it like Rising Storm.

Darkest hour tanks, combined with RO2 infantry would be a killer game.

Please leave in general as people want this so badly, post if you want DH2

Call of Duty RO:HOS
DH is the best mod that there has ever been for any game, anywhere. Except for strip poker, but that's a different matter.
I believe that the DH team moved onto making a standalone not related to RO1 or RO2 though.

I would love that!!!!!!!!!! as long DH2 is a true sucsessor to DH1........

I see what you did there, good one.

Basicly, you're saying that things didn't go as it was supposed to with RO2 and that the community people should have to pay and support Tripwire for this? I've already paid TWI for this game. If anyone create a mod that saves this game THEY should get all the income from this mod.

It's not my job to support TWI right now. I have already done that when I bought the game. Now It's their turn to give me support. When that's done, we can start talking.

Iron Front: Liberation 1944 - Gameplay Trailer #1 [Europe] - YouTube

If they get this title right I think it might be a good replacement for DH2. Its on the east, but DH had huge mixed forces battles and so on and this game. Unlike Arma 2 will have their own tank penetration system and as you can see in the video the vehicles also blow up into parts and there is a huge explosion there that seems to indicate rag doll as well. (Germans fly to the side of a shock wave.)

They say 2011, but I think its going to be delayed.

As for OP, no I dont want to pay for the mods because I cant even currently play the main RO2 game long before it CTD. They should support me, by patching the bugs out before they should ask for more money....

At this point charging money for a mod/DLC no matter how good it is would be suicide

I really liked DH - except for the weird "teleporting doors" spawn areas :) Although they make sense from a logistical point of view, they just felt quite strange. Also getting stuck in doors with a group of 6 people was a bit too comical :) heh. After you. No after you. No seriously, AFTER YOU. OK, I'll use another exit...

I'd definitely play a DH2, if one turns up.

"people"? :) Only the OP suggested paying for the mod. To be quite honest, if DH2.0 was released and it was a similar quality to DH1.0, I'd also be happy to pay "a small fee" for it, to show my support. I've wasted plenty of money on big-budget titles over the years, I'm more than happy to support talented mod teams releasing quality work.

I'd have been equally open to paying for the original RO:CA mod for UT2003 as I loved it, and I'll most probably buy Rising Storm based on what I've seen of it so far.

Calling people stupid for paying for a mod is... quite stupid :)

mods are free , always have been and HOPEFULLY always will be.

but if we dont plug stupidity leaks like this one it can get out of control and we will end up losing the most important aspect of the pc gaming community.

i wont stand by and watch people spew garbage like this.

tripwire already has our money for the game , if they want to release paid for content they can , if you expect me to pay for mods too you can go play on consoles and buy new ammo with your credit card where you will fit in with the rest of the bed wetting mongoloids

Hehe, yes. And then there were the bug, most often on Maupertius, but it could also happen on other maps, where some spawn doors never closed, or others never opened, leaving one team hopelessly at a disadvantage. The system certainly had its quirks, but it was without doubt one of the best things to happen to RO.

I must admit that I returned to vanilla RO1 some time before the launch of RO2 because DH became flooded with poorly executed maps, and none of the two or three active servers ran the stable classic maps (or they were voted down).

ken unbelievable.

Darkest Hour was RO's superior in every way, by far, a massive improvement on RO.

The amount of work that the DH crew put in to make that mod was ken enormous.

They deserve money for that effort, TW deserve something for putting the SDK out there and allowing them to make than fantastic mod.

RO would have been dead long ago if it wasn't for DH, it's that simple.

RO2 cost half of BF3, its 10 times the game and then we get mods for it that make it even better for free. Are you really that "stupid or dishonorable" to think that both TI and the mod maker shouldn't get something for all of their efforts?

Ken unbelievable this community sometimes.

Darkest Hour Suppression alone is better than RO2 suppression, Darkest Hour Maps are far superior and Darkest Hour Balance is what really makes it a significantly better game than RO. Darkest Hour was that good, I would have been happy to pay $100 for the game and thought I got an amazing deal. I paid $80 for BF3 and got 2 hours of fun from it before I went back to RO2.

I actually liked the door bug, I'd like to see the idea go further.

I wish there was (and in fact there may be) a way to have maps with more random numbers, especially of tanks. Be great to play on a map that 90% of the time had no tank, then suddenly you hear the rumble of tracks coming your way...

It's like new maps, there's nothing like that feeling first time you play on them, when you advance and have absolutely no idea what is round the corner.

then send them a donation like all mod teams set up

they make mods because they enjoy it , not because they want to make money
