This is kinda how I feel about it ... it seems like people are looking a gift horse in the mouth on this one. It was rather unlikely that the game would ever be ported to PC in the first place, and now that we have that unlikely port, people are going to ***** about GFWL? Yes, the service sucks balls, but I've never had the system completely prevent me from enjoying a game that had it.I think it's really stupid that people are still making petitions to remove the GFWL (Yeah, there is one up right now..) They should be thankful that the game is EVEN coming to PC.
So basically you guys are saying we should be glad we get the game and ignore the POS they impose on you for you to be able to play it? I'm extremely happy that it is coming to PC, but I won't buy it until GFWL is removed or they at least explain why they put that crap on their game at all.

Because it will save them lots of time and money by being able to use the Xbox360 netcode, or so I hear.
So what if it costs them to make a proper port? It's not like we owe them anything. A lot of people are acting like they donated a kidney or something. The previous Dark souls petition were just to show them there is a lot of interest in their game on the PC platform. They realized they could profit from it. They are not doing us any favors.
We have all right to be pissed about, boycott or petition again if they are doing a lazy port(which it is if they are doing it the easy, but crappy way), just like any case where developers have done the same thing.
I understand your point but if we all just buy the game because we want a sequel they will know they can get away with this kind of crap.
It's really important that people make petitions and give the developers heat, even more than boycotting. They need to know that they'll probably loose more money with GFWL than the money they would have spent on their own netcode and matchmaking.

Don't care. Never had a problem with GfWL and neither has anyone in my circle.
The three seconds it takes to log in every time I start a game are mildly annoying, but platform compatible achievements are kinda nice.
Wouldn't care if there was no such thing as GfWL either though.
I feel for those who're still running Windows XP and for those who get screwed by region restrictions, but well, doesn't apply to me.![]()
