hi,

i tested to add the merchand to the player it work on menu but dont work in the map



i suppose the players models loading are coded in .u or in .exe?

what would be great is swapping out the trader with the clot's or the actual "trader" with a fleshpound model.

Who wants the Left4Dead people? haha that'd be something :D

Hunters as Crawlers, Boomer as Bloat, Tanks as Fleshies, witches as sirens, normal infected as specimens, smokers as stalkers(since they are both sneaky)

;)

p.s. Anyone else notice the trader has a huge head? lol

Quasi necro-post ahoy, but has anyone figured out what it would take to get custom players working in Killing Floor?

It doesn't seem like you need to replace a default model with the new one, since when I tried just adding a random UT2k4 model it appeared in addition to the KF model lineup (though the model didn't work properly in the game itself).

Is it just an issue with not having the correct skeleton to rig the models properly? I wish I knew enough about the Unreal Editor or 3D modelling to take a crack at this myself :(

I really hope so. Custom content will really help this game gain replayability and everything. Hopefully TWI is more open to customizing this than they were to RO where it was basically restricted.

I've heard that custom skins don't work right now, but who knows.

With a game like RO it could be understandable its kinda like CS some people have skins were cts are covered and blue and terrorists are covered in red and they stick out like sore thumbs but yeah this game supports most of custom content thats why I love KF

hi i'm back on this game i tested to mod the KF_Soldier_Trip.ukx (i make a backup) file
i just rename the trader model to british_riot_police_I and vice versa
it work offline but when i play online the server replace by the original ukx file because (i suppose) this file Packages.md5 verify the packages ukx... with the server

Ok i make a mutator that replace all players models by hazmat (firstly)



I working to add a custom ukx file for loading custom models...
I don't know if it possible to add a line into an ini file for loading a sp

I hope you don't mind a mega bump because this is the only thread regarding my question.

Has anyone successfully ported a working custom model to kf?(not a reskin)
