Custom Maps not appearing in map list

Okay so I understand this is a frequently asked about topic and I have seen other forum posts regarding it but I am genuinely stumped as to why these maps aren't appearing having read almost anything I can find on the web about it.

I have recently tried installing various custom maps:
This CS office onehttp://www.gamemaps.com/mirrors/mirror/3/13699

This highrise one: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=115212469

This Zelda one https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=103815862

To name but a few.

Initially I tried installing them just using the steam workshop. The maps did not appear in my available map list when trying to start a solo game or host a game. Because of this I tried downloading the .rom files myself and putting them in the map folder (they are all named correctly with KF- prefix) Still nothing.

This is the case for all of the maps I have tried to install recently but I do have a couple of custom maps I must have installed months ago which work fine (Helm's deep and KF-china maps).

Does anyone know what the problem may be. It's confusing to me that some maps have worked from before but only recently I am no longer able to install new ones.

Here is screenshots showing that the maps are in the folder correctly but still not appearing in the list of maps: http://imgur.com/a/dvUDf
Thanks :)

Thanks DMN666. It's not the 50 subscriptions problem, I've been downloading the maps and mutators directly from the internet and not using steam and I only have about 10 steam workshop subs total (for all games not just KF)

In the .log file what would I be looking out for. Recurrently this appears but I do not know if it is relavent

"Warning: Failed to load 'NULL': Can't resolve package name"

I understand it could be a missing file but I've tried installing multiple maps and mutators and not a single one has worked.

They're are automatically generated when you run a server. I'd assume they would be in single player too. However I've had some issues with them not being generated on my server.

Just make a copy of any .ucl file from the stock kf maps (eg: KF-Farm.ucl). Rename it to which ever map you need, edit it with notepad and change any occurrence of the map name inside the file to the map you are editing it for.

The ucl file points to the map and lets the game know about it. Only thing is the description you see when you click the map in game will be wrong, but otherwise it should show up and work.

Most map downloads only bring a rom file. ucl files should be generated, single or multi.
Im certain this is not the problem.

UCL files are needed for mutators to appear on the mutator tab.

Thanks Slie I'll try that just now, that sounds like it may work for the mutators as well
