Custom map preview images?

Based on what I can find it is all but impossible to have map previews for custom maps, minus the client side mod on the workshop. The version of UDK I downloaded just crashes when loading the UPK that contains map preview info.

Is there a reason we can't set a URL for the map preview like with MOTD or can we get workshop implimentation? Or maybe a way to include it in the map files? This worked in KF1.

Did I miss anything? This is impossible right now right?

UDK is not compatible with KF2. Use the SDK available in Steam.

As you said it is not impossible as a client side mod already exists for those who want preview images.
