Paradisemall should be removed from the white list since its packed with exploitable places where the mobs cannot reach one and is basically a levelling map in disguise.

I kind of have a question about whitelisted maps, do they all allow stats / perk leveling to be enabled? I uploaded KF-AquaStudy-V2Fin.rom to my server, and only on that map does it take off stat tracking. Is this some other reason that has nothing to do with whitelisting?

same with Concerthall

i think they should test the maps before whitelisting

Does the whitelist check really correctly?

>Fixed Map White List retaining old Pass/Fail status from previous map
really fixed ?

I am embarrassed because of the many inquiry of the online user.

i think ...

1.The whitelist mark is necessary while playing a game.
2.The whitelist mark is necessary for the map vote menu.
3.Addition methods other than forum.
The many map is unregistered.

OK We've had a LOT of maps hit final the last few days (especially with the contest and all). Can we have them finally added to the whitelist please? Monday would be nice...

Anyone who leaves a map halfway through because they suddenly find up perks are not enabled deserves a server ban.
I agree but unfortunately most of the community is made of players like them. The current process for whitelisting is way too slow...

Can the list be maintained?
I think that I am impossible.
Disadvantages are larger than advantages now.

Remedial measures are necessary.

I agree with you but what as the Killing floor community could we do to help TWI quicken the pace of the white listing of the custom maps

Well right now my guess is that, Tripwire has a lot of stuff on their hands considering that almost every map on the whitelist is just as bad as Farm in terms of exploits.

The problem is the lack of blocking volume used while creating the maps.

It's not that much of an exaggeration though, we're averaging 6 exploits per map.

The problem really isn't the maps though, there seems to be a limitation to how complex a map can really be before exploits start being created.

They really need to speed up this process. My friends and I almost haven't played the game in the last weeks because we are tired of the official maps and the new ones aren't yet in the white list.

The "new ones" aren't and shouldn't be in the whitelist because many of them contain exploits.

If we use a criterion that strict then even the official maps wouldn't have been whitelisted at first. I thought the purpose of this whitelist was to disallow the blatant levelling maps, not to ensure that maps are exploit-free. Any map worth playing is going to have a few possible exploits until it is playtested extensively, and it's unreasonable to expect rigorous testing just to get on the whitelist.

I think a map should be whitelisted immediately following a cursory inspection to ensure that it isn't designed only for levelling. If it turns out to have excessive exploits later on, then perhaps it can be de-listed. That way there's no need for detailed playtesting, which is unreasonable to expect TW to do in a timely manner. After a preliminary examination, whitelist it and let the community playtest it.

You know... if it's this long in the future (2 weeks-ish or more) between updates to the whitelist, I'm starting to think they should allow all maps again and ditch the whitelist idea (although I hate the idea of cheating and it ruins the game imo)...

It's kind of a pain to maintain to begin with, and then I have to cross-reference all maps from the thread, and check in-game whether they're actually accumulating stats to ensure 100% that what I have will allow my server to be listed in the "perks enabled" category.

My server used to be almost always full before I changed all the maps to contest maps, none of the current maps are whitelisted and it's like an abandoned place at times. But I won't reinstall the same crappy whitelisted maps back. Aren't people bored to play the same maps over and over again? Most pre-contest custom maps are crap. TWI should release "ghost" whitelist updates once in a while (like every week or so). I don't think they'll be able to maintain this system for too long. And if it's exploits and glitches they fear, I'm afraid they'd have to remove probably more than half of the current whitelisted maps from that list.

Yes... Tripwire PLEASE reconsider the current system.

Bottom line is, like the post above says - there will always be that undiscovered spot on the newer (and even older) maps.

Moreover, there are admittedly easy maps - like doom2 for example. I think that's why everyone plays it. It's small, predictable and thus easy.

Just allow all maps to accumulate stats again please. The old system was really good - no need to check for whitelisting / test etc.

Let whoever is lame enough go to the KF-Leveling servers while the rest of us have fun.
